Taco-H — Restaurant in Idaho Falls

Today I found my new Favorite place in town to experience great and authentic Mexican Tacos.

I do a lot of traveling for work, and have spent a decent amount of time in Mexico and Central America. The food and culture is amazing! Its always hard coming back home because there is really no place that I have ( now had LOL) found that captures the taste the same way... until now. Tacos H has great tacos de al Pastor, and amazing Asada. I tried the standard tacos, and the quesabirria's and I was hooked. They even put fresh pineapple on top of the al pastor tacos! Thats one of my favorites that is common in Mexico! My wife had the burrito and her eyes were rolling into the back of her head with each bite. The salsa was great. I could’ve argued a week ago that this place had “the best” tacos in Idaho Falls, but some small changes recently made have stirred me away from doing that. I stand by saying these tacos have a great taste, but they’ve defaulted to using the small tortillas used by every other place in town and their salsa (specifically red) has changed in flavor. I will also add that the salsa packets have decreased in volume of salsa, which is ok, but not when you’re left with tacos and no salsa. The Carne Asada meat is also slightly different from before. I can understand the reasoning behind small changes but as a quality seeking customer who doesn’t mind the price for something great; I challenge the management of this business to address these small things and avoid defaulting to the standards of every other...

The food was amazing, with each taco packed with so much meat that the shells could barely contain it all. It's a refreshing change from the street tacos from other restaurants, where veggies often overshadow the miniscule amount of meat. The variety in their menu allowed everyone in our group to try something different, and without exception, we all loved our choices.

The prices were very fair, especially considering the generous portions and quality of the food. The experience was made even better by the fun and friendly employees who added to the fun atmosphere.
