BIG B'S Soup & Grilled Cheese — Restaurant in Idaho Springs

This place is to die for! 1000000% recommend. If your in the area or passing by or even close enough to drive here you should. The atmosphere was unique, adorable, hilarious and very welcoming. This is a place to bring the entire family. Or to just make a quick stop to grab a phenomenal sandwich. My husband son and I were passing through on the way to Glenwood Hot Springs and decided to stop based on the sign and name it looked very intriguing and something I definitely had to try, my son uninterested said he wasn’t hungry but would still get a drink. As we enter we are approached by a very nice welcoming man who was ready to help make any decisions or answer any questions, after talking with my son he convinced him to try the Big Texan, my husband got the Cubano and I got their Curry Butternut Squash soup(out of this world). We paid and decided to eat there, as the food was being cooked you could smell the aromas of the food being cooked and prepared, less than 10 minutes later we had the most delicious mouth watering meal. We talked about this place all the way to our destination and all the way home. We will never foget the people who work here, the amazing food or the atmosphere. Everytime we are near we will make sure to stop by. Thank you again and will 10000% be back! Keep up...

Let's not start off with "great food, friendly staff and easy enviroment", of course this place is all of that and more... The food is not only very yummy, of course, but it is unique. One bite and you can tell it was very percisely thought out and it leaves you feeling full and satisfied for it just being a sandwhich. The staff goes beyond being friendly, they treat you like you are someone they have known a while. Super easy going and listens well to you. They are also very attenative to the customers needs. The enviroment is the most comforting. When you walk through the doors, you feel instant peace and warmth. The decor of the restaurant, that you see everywhere, makes you feel like you chose the right place to eat. Most of the customers have a smile on their faces throughtout the entire time they are there and most have no problem sharing that friendly smile with other customers. The food, staff, decor and enviroment all together come together to make this restaurant set apart from any restaurant I have ever eaten at. Most restaurants only have a few of these qualities, this is the first I have been to that has it all. Nothing but positive vibes in this place. Hands down best thing you will shove in your face! I imagine you're a traveler because all the locals have to know about this spot. It's probably so good that you would want to drive from Colorado springs just to get a sandwich and some top notch soup... Sorry if this review isn't helping I'm in a bliss coma of religion proportion..... Long live cheesus..... Order anything here you will be happy. This place is more relaxing than the hot springs a truly transformative experience....ordered a big isander made it greezy (Doritos and honey) also ordered it with pulled pork.....yummmmmm.....I was walking in the footsteps of the holy cheesus....my lady ordered The Cheesus and it really is the holy Trinity of cheese, bread and soup. You don't even have to dip it. Each bite has a perfect portion of soup. Already baked into this masterpiece. One might even be compared to the 16th chapel but it doesn't take that long to be made. So this might be a good place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner... If you don't try it then you wasted my time and me writing this so you have to go try it and if you made it all the way here. Hopefully you are already enjoying one of these delightful decadent a wonderfully crafted...
