A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Idaho

This A&W is not the burger joint of my youth. A combination KFC and A&W, it was staffed by a bunch of kids. We ordered quickly enough, and grabbed a table to wait for our food, a hamburger and a cheeseburger with fries.

The seating area was not clean. Many tables needed to be wiped down. We cleaned our own. We saw the workers in back standing around talking, or on their phones.

We waited about 15 minutes for our order. At one point, I approached the young female manager and asked about our order. She said they were waiting on the fries and they were about ready. We still waited another 5 minutes. The kid at the counter apologized for the wait.. My cheeseburger was one of the worst I've ever had. Cold patty, soggy bun, a few pickles. Terrible. The fries were ok. The root beer appeared to have run out and was mostly foam. Oh, and the bathroom was filthy.

Stay clear of this place. All of the one-star reviews are accurate. Clearly, this place is poorly managed, with lazy workers who need a leader to show them a...

Maybe the reason I had such a terrible experience was because it was Mothers Day but I got there a little after 7 and I waited 32 minutes in line and then they had me pull around to the front and I waited another 8 minutes before I went in, spent another 5 minutes at the register while employees ran around and then the guy went to find my order and couldn't find it right away. All the while the guy at the counter next to me is yelling and getting mad because he has been waiting almost an hour for his food and about 6 other people had been waiting 30 minutes inside. My order was not even that big either. A few burgers and two fries. And because they forgot to bring my order out it was cold by the time I got home. I will give them another try but it wont be...

A&W / KFC are always tasty. The root beer is excellent and the mashed potatoes always good. The service speed at this place however is ungodly slow. I waited 30 minutes and still no food. Everyone was. Apparently, as I found out, the reason for this was no one was working on completing orders for the dine-out, everyone was doing drive-through. Sounds like they need some better logistics over there otherwise it is going to annoy a lot more customers. I only had 30 minutes so unfortunately I wasn't even able to stay to get my food so I just paid to wait 30 minutes. A&W/KFC please fix this logistics...
