This McDonald's location didn't offer guests to order inside and take to go during this covid-19 lockdown... Which was fine because I was instructed to use their app for curbside takeout... Still, all was fine. When I called them, I explained that I was on foot and had a gift card, so I needed to verify they I could use that for a curbside order. I needed to know because I am physically disabled and it's also quite warm out. Once I finally did get there, I called them while standing outside their front door, because at that point, I didn't see the option to use my McDonald's gift card on their app. The employee that came out to help said once I put in the order that I should be able to put the gift card's number in place of a debit card number, but that didn't work... It required a name, expiration date ECT. I had already made the trip down to McDonald's, went through the process and really needed food at this point. I really didn't have expendable funds on my debit card, hence me using the $10 gift card that was given to me from the Hemophilia Foundation. The food was tasty and the frappe was quite soothing in the heat, but... I didn't plan on spending that money and was very time consuming. I would have not made the trip had I been instructed in advance that I wasn't able to use my McDonald's gift card. Without going through the drive thru. Now, if the employee that helped me could have just taken my gift card inside to run it on their register inside, I would not have been giving my first bad...
Read moreBeware. Employees will either take your app reward points, or disregard your code entirely in the drive thru. When you use your app & code for points, if the employee asks if the code is just for points, just BEWARE. After getting your code they SHOULD verify your name and tell you what the code is for, if they don't verify this info don't let them pass it by, kindly ask them if they got your code.. The app shows if your code was used as well. Three times now (that I'm 100% sure of after checking bank history and my memory) they asked in a peculiar way if I am using my app, I say yes then they instantly ask "is it just for points?"..... Then an odd pause, my app never shows the "we got your code", they take my order...then I never got points for that order. I finally caught on after realizing I was short hundreds and hundreds of points. The employees assume I won't miss if it's just for the points so they might use their own code instead to get free stuff, or just skip using code all together. They ask if it's for points so they know to use your code or not. if it's for a free item they have to use your code because you'll obviously know if you got a free item or not. But if you say it's just points, they figure they can skip and you won't notice. Idk why, I can just tell you three times now they've done this to me. Most of the time this...
Read moreI feel a bit more qualified to rate this restaurant than usual because I live near it and frequent it. So instead of this review being based on one experience, I can decide based on at least 5 visits this month. I noticed something a little different is I alays get a smile from the person handing me food. That is appreciated. I also noticed that a majority of the workers are a bit more on the adult side. I bet if you did the math theyd have a mean employee age of 35ish. Why does this matter, I don't know, I just get the sense everyone there appreciates they have a job, understand that job, and can think indipendentally enough to help me get whatever I'm asking for even if I don't understand that. Maybe I'm being agist, and it really is more of a training thing. Either way, I have gotten what I'm asking for right away 9 out o 10 times, and the one time someone wasn't figuring it out, a manager stepped up and got me what I was ordering, even if I was asking in a weird way (I'm actually a bit weird when I order, I just don't get what the...
