I was really looking forward to checking out The Roosevelt Market. It's an awesome concept, and I always love when old buildings are restored. The Market seating area is very cute, and there were more tables than I was expecting. The menu offerings seem great as well. I personally got a mocha and tried the soft serve. I was disappointed by both. The soft serve didn't seem to have much flavor, and it was also a bit more on the icy side than creamy. The mocha was just okay. Unfortunately, they don't offer decaf espresso. It's always a bummer when places don't offer decaf as I always order half-caf (caffeine sensitive). The service was fine. I think the barista/cashier may have been a bit tired, but they were still helpful and kind. I did appreciate all of the local food, books, and art that the Market had for sale. That said, I was a bit overwhelmed with all of the food offerings. There didn't appear to be any real theme... there were boxes of spaghetti/jars of pasta sauce, six-packs of ramen noodles (way too many packs of ramen noodles merchandised on the floor), other miscellaneous dinner items...I was honestly just confused how the owners decided what they were going to sell. I can understand the snacks/candy, but I do think there could be a better way to merchandise some of the product. I'll probably be back to check it out again and give...
Read moreI just live a few blocks from the place, been going there for 15 yrs! Convenient little neighborhood store/hub. Great handmade sandwiches and home style Breakfast 😁 However,,, just had breakfast there with the Family and had "service" from someone whom has always seemed A little "off", rude, and unpleasant. I've never said anything,,, just assumed she's having a bad day (every time) I encounter her. Today's experience was no different than any previous encounter I've had with L¡$@,,, inattentive, poor service, and just RUDE! Let me help you out L¡$@ with food service 101...... Simple question as you deliver someone their food. "Is there anything else I can get you"? I'm sorry, but it's fairly common knowledge that when you serve some one a Pancake it is typically served with a side of butter and syrup.... Right? I'm sure most people would agree! Additionally, when you serve toast,,, a typical side for toast is jelly or jam or some other topping. Again, I'm sure the majority of people who have eaten breakfast at a restaurant these are normal accoutrements. Another tip L¡$@,,, most people want results and not excuses when these simple failures are pointed out 👍. You are rude and I would've fired you years ago. (Hint Nikki & Susan)

Read moreI have many fond memories of this mom and pop market. I am always one to promote local businesses in the area. However with my experience since the remodel I am not sure if I want to come back due to the customer service. I was standing in line behind another customer who inquired about what they had available for drinks as far as beer, wine, and soda and went on to what she liked to drink. With the response from the person that was helping her has put me in a bit of a shock of "oh God no!"why as a customer service person respond to your customer with that response? If anything you should advise the customer I am sorry we do not have that here but we do have this that you may like would you like to try a sample? With my many years of customer service I have learned you keep your opinions to yourself or you need to rephrase how you talk to somebody to get your point across. If you are unable to make a sample then don't offer it but don't respond to the customer like they are beneath you because they like...
