What happened to this place?

We have been to this location many, many times. On our way in, we noticed it was dead inside...which must be due to the lack of college students in the area during summer. We thought, SWEET! It will be clean and quiet and how nice will that be?? We were greeted by a nice guy ready to take our order. He was not pushy and did a great job starting our order. That was the only nice part of the experience, so kudos to that guy! We got our salads and drinks and walked over to fill our drink cups. 2/4 of the infused juice containers were empty, and the other 2 were half full and looked filthy on the inside...it was gross. So we opted for soda. We looked around the dining room, and only ONE CUSTOMER was eating at a table. Yet all of the tables were filthy. I'm talking grimy, sticky, and just gross. We picked a booth and sat down. Our table was sticky, and the bench was dirty. I looked around and noticed that every single table and chair was gross. The chairs had messy fingerprints that would take quite a while to accumulate. The soda counter with the flatware was dirty, and you could see that even the containers holding the "clean" flatware were also gross. We ate our food while trying not to touch the table, lol. All while watching 4 employees joke around and stand behind the counter. Not a single employee entered the dining room to wipe a table, tidy chairs askew, or gather the stacks of trays. It was surprising because it was THAT dirty in there. I'm bummed because I love Cafe Zupas, but unfortunately, we won't be back to this location...

I stopped in to Zupas on Broadway in Boise Idaho today. It’s been a while since I’ve been in so I was bummed to see the prices have gone up but that didn’t detour me as I was wanting some good food so I went ahead and ordered. I was watching the guys salad in front of me being made. As I saw how many beans, onions etc was being put on there I thought to myself, “Wow…they don’t wanna give you much except for lettuce.” The gentleman even asked for extra chicken and they said it would cost extra…which I understand…then he asked for more beans in which she said it would cost extra…the price should include MORE than one tiny scoop of anything in a salad. But I still continued to order as I was craving the Chipotle Salad and some Chicken Chili Enchilada soup. I got the order to go, came back to work to sit down and eat this delicious meal. After eating my soup….which is my absolute favorite…I was very disappointed. It only had three pieces of Chicken and four beans…all I really noticed in it were the tortilla strips and liquid. I haven’t even started my salad yet as I’m that bummed. I’m sorry to say that I probably won’t be coming back. Being in a family owned and operated business for over 30 years I know how things work. You guys have GREAT customer service, but I believe you are losing the focus on your meals while raising prices. I wish the best for your stores.

This location was absolutely disgusting. We LOVE Zupas and have been to the multiple locations within the valley. My family and I were the only ones in there with two other tables occupied by people. The service was slow as molasses and the individuals assisting, did not listen to what we were saying when we ordered and made us keep repeating our order when ordering, as well as when checking out (despite our orders sitting on trays to be checked out.)

The children's seats were COVERED in old food and other substances, indicating the chairs hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. The bathrooms were filthy, with blood on the toilet paper roller that was dried and had been there longer than a day. The location doesn't look like it's been cleaned in weeks with dried foods, greasy handprints on tables and windows. There were seven people working/standing around during our time there with no individuals in line - aka should have been doing cleanup around the restaurant.

We were already hesitant to come back to this location due to their extremely slow service every time we have come in. This experience solidified us never to return. A restaurant should never be so dirty it leaves you questioning if the front of the house is that unkept, what does the kitchen look like? I would rather spend the...
