Saw an ad online for and since someone I talked to the day before mentioned long soup buns I decided to try. There were plenty of parking spots and only three tables were being used inside with customers. Soft drinks are free refills, but that isn’t mentioned on the menu. I decided to try the crab Rangoon appetizer, chicken long soup buns, Shanghai long soup buns, and bbq pork buns. Prices were decent. Service was good. Atmosphere inside was OK. It seemed like they were still doing stuff to the remodel. only one thing on the wall in the dining room and a drink picture by the waiting area. They also have an outside patio area on the left side of the restaurant. Each table has soy sauce, bun sauce, and some kind of spicy sauce. Appetizer was OK and right before I finished, the two orders of buns were served. There wasn’t a lot of seasoning in the chicken buns and I was very careful with them because of the hot soup inside. The dough of the soup buns is like pot sticker dough, but the dough of the bbq pork buns was more like a bread. (Warning The bbq pork buns were served in small paper cupcake like wrappers that are the same color as the bun and kind of small so I almost didn’t see it before I began eating it)I was still hungry, so I ordered the Shanghai buns which has pork inside and it is not mentioned on the menu. Three out of six of the pork buns had the dough ripped before they were served so they were lacking the soup inside. There wasn’t much of a taste difference between pork and chicken. The waiter told me it’s the same kind of soup in all of them. Next time I would try the dumplings and an...
Read moreCame here for lunch and had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food here was DELICIOUS. Everything was hot and had amazing flavor. I personally favored the crab rangoons over the veggie egg rolls but both were still really good! The Shanghai soup dumplings are pork based and went really well with their dumpling sauce that is placed at each table. The black pepper beef felt like I was eating a home cooked meal and came with a side of white rice. The veggie fried rice was also one of my personal favorites as the flavor was amazing and reminded me of rice you can get at hibachi places. I can't wait to come back with the rest of my family and try more things off their menu. 10/10 UPDATE: I went there again and tried more stuff off the menu and was not disappointed. Everything was piping hot and was full of flavor. This time around we tried the fried calamari, chive pork pan fried dumplings, veggie lo mein, and general...
Read moreI recently visited Savory Bun, and it was such a pleasant experience! The food was excellent across the board. The fried buns and dumplings were fantastic, and the spicy chili wontons were bursting with flavor. The beef noodle soup came in generous portions, and the Shanghai xiao long buns were absolutely awesome—both in presentation and taste.
The udon noodles were also great, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. I really appreciated the wide selection of dishes; there’s something for everyone here. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you receive.
On top of the delicious food, the location is convenient with plenty of parking, and it’s easy to get in and out without any hassle. Overall, it’s great to have a new spot like this in the area, and I can’t wait to come...
