I can’t even begin to express how utterly disgusted and furious I am after my visit to Madura Café. What was supposed to be a simple meal turned into a nightmare from the first bite. The food was absolutely nasty—I ordered what they claimed was their “signature dish,” Idli dosa but it tasted like as if it was a week old. How can anyone serve this garbage and call it edible? The place itself was a filthy cesspool that made me question if health inspectors even exist in Deerfield. Dirt and grime coated every surface, and don’t get me started on the roaches scurrying around. I spotted at least three of those on the floor while I waited for my so-called meal, and the bathroom? It was a biohazard zone that smelled. We caught the owner scratching his back while serving food to the customer without wearing gloves. How can you be this unhygienic. This isn’t a café; it’s a breeding ground for disease and despair. I’m shocked it’s still open—someone needs to shut this dump down. To top it all off, the owner was the epitome of rudeness and disrespect, treating customers like we’re the inconvenience in their miserable lives. When I politely complained about the rancid food and the roach infestation, he snapped at me like I was the problem, yelling obscenities and refusing to offer even a basic apology or refund. His arrogance was astounding, as if serving trash and insulting patrons is some kind of twisted business model. —Madura Café doesn’t deserve a single star, let alone anyone’s hard-earned money. Read moreGenerally the most of the items (even the common items you would expect to be there) in their menu are not available. Worst part is that cashier is not even aware of what is available and what is not. They will take the payment and then after waiting for several minutes they will inform that one or two items are not available . Then they will refund cash without accounting for taxes for that item (happened to me twice and I did not say because the tax amount is not significant). There is severe mis-management.
Food quality and hygiene has gone South drastically since they opened. If they don’t pay sincere attention to hygiene and cleanliness, authorities might soon be there for action.
Don’t fall for their specials. Specials are not actually specials but the reduced quantity/size with reduced cost. You’d be better off with non-special items because those will at least be enough. For special item you will have to order more (of course if you like the taste) and end up paying double.
For the snack items like pakodas etc, good luck if you are there when prepared fresh otherwise they’ll be cold or partially warmed and soggy.
Do not expect Sambhar with Medhu Vada (if at all available)
Some of the staff are okay but some have huge attitude problem and shouldn’t be dealing directly with customers.
By the way, tea here is...
Read moreDude owner instead of apologizing for your rude behavior and disrespect you are accusing your customers of asking free Chutney???R you out of your mind or what?? we were not asking extra chutney we asked for chutney to eat with 18 Mysore bhajji pieces, usually every other south Indian restaurant give 2 or 3 kinds of chutneys /dips with these snacks, who would eat Mysore bajji with white watery coconut chutney only that too very little in quantity, we just asked for spicy chutney which they usually have or sambar because Mysore bajji doesn't go well with white coconut chutney. For example if you order biryani you would expect raita or mirchi ka salan with it right. what if all the restaurants start selling food without these supporting sides, if your ordering fried chicken you would expect garlic sauce along with a hot sauce. Our ask was simple we needed something spicier to go along with Mysore Bhajji. As a business owner you should be humble enough to understand genuine concerns of your customers you started accusing customers of asking free chutney this shows your impeccably frustrated and disrespectful attitude towards customer. I thought in south India customers are treated like god which based on mythological theories but you are propagating a different culture here. Hope you will come back to...
