Our stay at North Lake Lodges and Villas in Incline Village was a mix of very pleasant experiences and some frustrating moments. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons of our visit:||Pros:|- The villa was incredibly spacious, well-equipped, clean and beautifully furnished. It felt like two separate one-bedroom apartments, which provided plenty of room for privacy and comfort.|- The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.|- The location is fantastic, being very close to some of the most beautiful bike paths around Lake Tahoe. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who love biking.||Cons:|- There is no onsite management, which posed several inconveniences. To check in, you have to go into a small office and speak to someone remotely. On day 6th of our stay we were surprised to find workmen were let into our unit without notice and were checking on the fire alarm system. We called the management office and they said they had tried to warn us and left messages on the landline. However, one of the landlines wasn’t working and the other one had no messages. On the first day, we were moved. Perhaps they had called the wrong villa. ???|- The WiFi was a major issue. When we first arrived, the internet was spotty and then it completely stopped working for most of our seven-day stay. We reported the problem to the offsite management company. They told us since they are 45 minutes away, it was our responsibility to call the internet company. We were given an 800 number, and after a frustrating lengthy call, the issue was not resolved. The call seemed to be outsourced, and the representative was unfamiliar with the resort's system. The WiFi connection was restored on our last day. Therefore, if you need reliable internet access for business or personal use, you'll have to use the library in town.|- Despite these issues, shout outs are deserved for the friendly maintenance man, Dan, and Ully and the housekeeping staff, who were helpful and kind throughout our stay.||Overall, while the accommodation and location were fantastic, the lack of reliable internet and onsite management were significant drawbacks. If these issues are addressed, North Lake Lodges and Villas could be an exceptional...
Read moreOk...I am a timeshare owner with Worldmark which has been fast going down hill AND I work for Best Western hotel. I tend to be a bit critical and brutal honest. I can HONESTLY say this timeshare rental is spot on perfect! We were in #148 and upstairs unit.
It's quiet! It has adequate stocked kitchen. It has a VERY HOMEY FEEL unlike Worldmark time share. It has wood floor which are extremely easy to clean and very hypoallergenic for those prone to allergens trapped in carpets. It has a wonderful cast iron tub for nice soaks...but here is the ONLY ding I give this place. With the average age of people that book a place like this being in their 50s and the number 1 place for slips and falls being in the bathroom, specifically shower/bath area...there is NO grab bar. This should be standard safety item in ALL accomodations be it hotel, timeshare or private rental. The balcony provided a perfect spot for a quiet morning coffee. The stairs to the unit are wide with good hand hold, and for a person with mobility issues, I felt safe and comfortable using them. The bed was very comfortable and overall, just plain cozy and there was adequate extra bedding for the hideabed couch.
The couches were inviting and said "slouch into me and get comfortable".
Everything was functional.
Staff is reachable 24/7
The grounds are impeccably maintained offering a small hot tub, lovely waterfall that would make nice extra honeymoon pictures and a very nice BBQ area
Really, I could not find anything really wrong with this facility except for no grab bar in the bathtub/shower.
Check in was different with no really one on one...it's like a zoom meeting for check in, but it works and that is what is important.
I will definitely put this as my go to spot for a locals getaway to Tahoe's north shore.
To the owners: keep up to good work. I know it's hard but it...
Read moreDo not book with at North Lake Lodges & Villas (QM Resorts). I made reservations with them 3 months beforehand via VRBO. They cancelled my family's reservation less than 24 hours before check in by voicemail. I was due to check in Christmas. I tried to contact them regarding this and at an earlier time regarding amenities. They never returned either email.||||Their message to me on Xmas Eve said they did not know how the reservation was made, it should not have been made, and they had no availability. When I checked on Christmas, their own website stating they did have rooms available for at least part of our stay, they didn't even offer that as a solution. It is difficult to identify solutions for customers when you don't even respond. It was extremely difficult to find new accommodations the holiday week. They had the reservation for several months and cancel less than 24 hours before, this is completely unacceptable.||||Being on the other side of the country with no way to realistically return home and no where to stay for the Christmas week caused an incredible amount of stress for my family and cost us tremendously more than necessary to find accommodations literally last minute. If there was indeed a booking error, it should have been caught several months before. I don't even understand how this occurs. Clearly there is substantial management issues. Attempt to stay with them at...
