Had the bacon bourbon burger tonight with my wife and son. Wife had the chicken Bella. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed the Belgian pretzel appetizer and food. She said her Bahama mama was really good. Looked well blended and very smooth. It is winter so without patio access there was a small wait. But the wait didn’t feel like it lasted long. Wait staff and management seems to be on the ball making sure every empty table is filled quickly and that your server and staff is prompt and quick with both appetizers and food. While busy we didn’t wait long for our drinks or even at least water as we divided on our drinks and such in the menu.

My burger was perfect. While the sauce was savory with just the right sweetness the burger was cooked to my liking and juicy and well seasoned. Not to take it out of context but the burger felt simple in respect to it didn’t feel over embellished. Rather down to home, seasoned and well prepared. The kind of burger you’d be happy to have grilled yourself at home and prouder to serve to friends and family at a summer cookout. The tooojngs were fresh and crisp, the cheese was delicious. And we weren’t wanting for much of anything. Seems to be a great selection of drinks, but it was my wife’s turn to sample from the drink menu this evening so I’ll dive into the beer or old fashioned next time we visit. And with the location being close to home it’s a great spot if you wanted to Uber or Lyft over to them and enjoy a good date night out with the wife free of kids if able to do so and get back ti the Clarkston, Waterford or auburn hills area with ease. Good find to have come...

I can’t really speak on the atmosphere—I'm an introvert and only care about the food. I’ve ordered from here twice through DoorDash. The first time, I spent around $100 (totally my fault), and the second time was about $48.

I came back because the first experience was surprisingly good. I would’ve given it almost five stars, definitely enough to justify a full five considering they’re probably the best in the area. The chicken tenders stood out—juicy in the middle with a crunchy, clearly hand-dipped breading. You could tell by the varying sizes of the tenders. The double-fried fries were solid too, though they didn’t hold up perfectly in delivery—maybe 70% of the qualityremained.

Unfortunately, the second time was a letdown. The tenders were still hand-dipped, but this time they were overcooked—dry except for one large piece. Worse than the texture was the taste. As someone who’s managed a local Italian restaurant for about 18 years, I can tell when fryer oil needs to be changed. That strong, burnt smoke coming off the oil. Yeah, that’s old oil. It was unpleasant and bitter overpowered everything.

If they can get more consistent, I’m willing to give them another shot. I know everyone has off days. But right now, it's a 50/50 experience—so I’m giving 2.5 stars if i get better food it will change in my head...

Coming from a former Art & Jakes employee I would stay FAR AWAY!

Special shout out to everyone that made my time there more enjoyable I wish you all the best and hopefully you find better because you all deserve better Will, Jenn, Josh, BOH staff, Paul, Aurora, Madelyn, Kendall, Amber, Sage, Alex, Taylor, Tia, & all my other server girlies 💖

This is about the general manager of this establishment. Alfie is passive aggressive, unpredictable, and problematic. He will not let you get a word in when he asks you for a meeting but continue to attempt to “make it right” without even hearing your side. He will yell & confront staff in-front of guest if you make a toast error. Trying to belittle you. Trying to control everything you do but in a very toxic and overwhelming way. Every time you ask him for something he answers very rudely. He comes to work with multiple black eyes and embarrassing himself. Never once met his wife but I’ve seen him being flirtatious with lots of different women all the time with former coworkers & in public at Hamlin pub having his arm around other women. Alfie grabs the fries and onion rings to “weight” them with NO GLOVE on multiple different occasions and putting them on customer plates to serve...

A+J's is the #1 new restaurant you must visit to enjoy phenomenal eats and drinks! The menu is very diverse with many instant classics. This is my favorite gastro pub ALL TIME! I have eaten at the Sterling Heights and Shelby locations many times and have always had excellent service and amazing food. The Clarkston location just opened and they are a must try! On the second day they opened Victoria was our friendly and attentive server. The Shawarma Chicken Flatbread and El Paso Steak Wrap are both delicious! Get in the car now and go experience a spectacular new joint! You won't be disappointed. Update 12/22/22: Stopped in for a 3rd time and had another enjoyable experience. The chicken nachos and buffalo chicken wrap were sensational! Stephanie our server introduced us to the general manager Alfie and the owner Victor. Very nice and personable owner. You can tell he really cares about providing great service and even better food. All of these google 5 star reviews are legit!

Worst dining experience ever. Ordered a margarita with no salt. Waited 15 minutes and it came with salt. Waitress wanted to dump it in a new glass. So the salt could go in the drink. Ordered meatloaf.. they were out. Ordered whiskey river wrap. Came with burnt chicken and no sauce. Got the manager because Haley was rude and useless. He came to the table and offered to get me a different dinner. Ordered bang bang shrimp tacos. The kitchen brought out bang bang shrimp appetizer, so I just said forget dinner. Everyone else at the table was done eating. We see the manager William and server Haley laughing about us. So rude. She brings the bill and the extra margarita was on there. The one my daughter in law got was awful and tasted like watered down sweet and sour mix. They didn’t offer to take off the appetizer or anything just laughed about it. Won’t be back. Haley was extremely rude even before anything happened. Ended up at Taco Bell.

This place was walking distance to our hotel, so we took the chance. We ordered boneless wings, bork belly burnt ends, and my wife ordered a Caesar salad. The wing seasoning was very good. The wings themselves were good, but not spectacular. The pork burnt ends were very good, but needed a little more bark on them. The real jewel of this place is the service. We were greeted and seated and had constant care from any of the staff that walked by. Our server was training, but handled herself exceptionally well. The atmosphere is excellent and I really like the table top fire pits outside and the large opening garage type doors that pull inside and outside together. I wish I had gotten our servers names, both the trainee and the woman training her were absolutely top of the line.
