6 stars just isnt enough here. This little place is just the epitomy of home made and comfort food self care. I had never had a pastie until today. But these are wonderful airy crusty flaky wholesome and flavorful topped with a gravy of choice or that coordinates. They have meals for every time of the day. Baked apples and baked apple pasties. Which are absolutely to die for and made fresh every week or as needed. The restaraunt is clean. The sevice is PHENOMENAL and it would be unfair to say that they only get 5 stars. The entire staff went completwly out of their way to make both me and my mother welcome and to let us enjoy our lunch. They even made us stay for dessert so I could have the full pastie experience for my first time. They have a pretty amazing butterscotch energy cookie too, they were very gernerous and I am looking forward to my next trip to this area. Absolutely wonderful service! Excellent food!! Overall they have the best I have ever had!! I also have been up north and have had the same pasties and these are way better then up north by far! I like to support local businesses but these just weren’t very good. I got two beef pasties and they were very onion/potato heavy and not much else. When I cut them open, unlike some of the pictures I saw of others meals, there was almost no beef. The taste was almost all onion. I’d like to think this was a fluke and I got a bad one, but I got two and they were both the same. Also ten for a pasty seems a little steep, especially after paying six for some really great ones in St. Ignace. It seems like other people like them so who knows, maybe what I got was part of a batch of bad ones, but I’d probably be unwilling to go back and try again because...
