Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt — Local services in Independence Charter Township

My low score is solely based on the incredibly rude employee. Last night, 6/29/25, at 8:50 P.M., we went into the Menchi's in Independence Twp. Knowing it was late and almost closing time, I had all intentions of hurrying.

Getting there, it just so happened, I was one of four people who walked in together. No other customers were there, and no one ever came in while we were there. Immediately, the young woman employee spewed at the first lady to enter to hurry up because it was time to close. The next two people in front of me were a couple. They asked about waffle cones. The employee told them there were none. I thought that the waffle cones were made fresh per order, but I could be wrong because this was only the second time I have been there and neither time have I ordered a waffle cone. Quickly, I made my choice and went to check-out. Unknowingly, I put my cup on the wrong weigh scale. With a scowl and bare hands, the woman picked up my cup by its lip and moved it to the other scale which had an open register. As I was paying, she picked it up again in the same manner to remove my cup from the scale. Her actions indicating for me to quickly leave. I did tell her to stop touching my cup like that with her bare hands. We were all out by 9:00. We and the couple that went into the store were outside eating our treats and talking about how this employee was so incredibly impolite. They said that every other time they have been there that the employees were kind and friendly. This being only the second time I have been there, makes it...

We ordered two medium frozen yogurts to be delivered. Our order took approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Upon receiving the order, prepared by Menchie’s staff, I was greatly disappointed to see that the cups were less than half filled. I reached out to the business as soon as I noticed the portion that we received, to which they replied that everything is correct. I will not be ordering from them again. My granddaughter was looking forward to our trip to Menchie’s! However, this was not a good visit and she was very much disappointed. Many of the flavors were out, as was the hot fudge. When I asked the worker if there was more, she was extremely indifferent and said “not at this time” without a smile or any words of apology. She was downright rude in how she was treating customers.
