Love this Starbucks because it is so conveniently located across from powerhouse! Update on November 2, 2023 My go to is the Venti Chai Tea latte with Vanilla and Oatmilk so when I seen a new drink. New Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai 💕. I wanted to try it. Only problem is that lake Orion branch didn't hear me right or something and gave me expresso in my drink. Thank God for Sashabaw that always comes through for me. They made me a new drink and threw away the other. Thank you Jasmine for being so nice and unstanding over the phone. I know it was just a drink mess up but having people that are caring makes a huge difference. I also wanted to add that a couple of months ago we got my drink drove home and I got out of the car and as I was walking in the drive way. Tripped and dropped my entire drink on the ground. I had literally take two sips. I was crying over a drink, I know it seems crazy. My husband went back to Starbucks and explained what happened they were so nice to replace my drink. Almost all of the employees I've come in to contact with have been super...
Read moreI’ve been a Clarkston resident for 12+ years and was excited when this spot first opened. Yes, the parking and drive thru situation was always pretty terrible, but there’s really little to be done about it. The cafe itself was warm and inviting, plenty seating to sit and stay awhile with friends or family.
I haven’t been inside since the major remodel and what a difference. They should hang a sign outside that says “go away”! They extended the barista area to presumably allow for more workers and to turn out drinks faster. It seems things have gone deliberately slower somehow. The cafe is cold and uninviting. Only a few chairs and tables inside, but about as cozy as drinking coffee at a morgue. Clarkston, to me, is about community. Starbucks got it right when they first opened many years ago. Whatever sad soul designed this latest remodel needs to seek professional help, or at least find a friend to lift their spirits. It’s obvious they were in a deep depression when they designed this store.

Read moreHaven't been to Starbucks in over ten years - and it'll be another ten years before I go back, at the least. I ordered a beverage through the drive-thru and when I pulled up, some gypsy rug-weaver stuck a tablet-looking device in my face and implied that I make a "tip" selection. First, tips are for people who provide a complementary service which goes above & beyond their work duties; second, this gal was so lazy, she wouldn't even take my card for payment - implying that I tap/swipe/insert the card myself. What if I had decided to pay with cash? Then, you would've been forced to take my money, hand me my change and provide me with the brutally overpriced drink that I reluctantly ordered. Nevertheless, I politely said, "no thanks", and drove off.
Starbucks may be popular with teenage girls and such, but their service won't go far with real people. I'm glad I saved my "bucks" and...
