Over twice the delivery time I was told, the pizza was “old” and “slimy” when it arrived, and nobody apologized even.
That is the abreviated version before I vent.....
I really wanted to post a picture. I wasn’t going to leave a google review, but opted to fill out the service questions on the website. I get all the way done and get a message that says if it’s urgent or if you want a response call the store and gives you the store number. Really if it were a decent manager I wouldn’t have a problem to begin with.
I checked before I ordered and was told 30-40 minutes for delivery. Placed my order and over an hour later it finally showed up. At one point the guy explained he tried to deliver, but couldn’t tell if it was a house or a business. Really? My ranch style house with a two car garage and circle drive in the middle of a neighborhood nowhere near any other businesses and he couldn’t tell? Anyway, I was assured he was on his way. When it didn’t show up I called back and another guy says it’s on its way and hangs up on me.
By the time it arrived it was of course hot in the insulated bag, but one of the boys described it best by saying slimy. The sauce was making the crust slimy. The driver’s only response was “we only have three drivers tonight”. It would have been nice to hear I’m sorry from the guy who hung up on me, or anyone else...
The saddest part is this could have been fixed several times along the way by any slightly competent manger.
First chance, don’t give times that are that far off, or call if something happens.
Second chance, you control the oven. If you know the deliveries are taking longer, then wait a minute to put it in the oven
Third chance, appologize when it is more then double your time estimate.
Fourth chance, when you see it sitting around, make another one quick and/or make a call.
Even before that, hire more drivers. Where all the managers there? I know when I was managing I spent a lot of very long days back to back because I was short handed. If you are short, take responsibility to hire more and cover until you do.
Maybe at some point realize the customer hires you every time they place an order. If you keep giving bad service and getting bad reviews, eventually the customers will stop hiring you.
Of course it shouldn’t be a surprise they don’t know how to handle customers. Remember where this started? If the office had sent a message that said we are sorry I wouldn’t be writing this, but all they did after I took the time to fill out their questions was to put up a message that said if it is urgent or if I want a reply to call the store... who doens’t know how to handle customers.....
This isn’t the drivers fault, or the cooks. Problems like this come from the top down. It is corporate...
Read moreI have always liked dominos and usually prefer their pizza over other pizza places and have never had any issues there before & I usually have always had very nice experiences there and with their delivery. So I was very disappointed at my previous visit. For Valentines day me and my finance decided to order pizza because I had a coupon. Well before even ordering it, the app and website kept saying that the coupon was invalid even though I had just received it from dominos not even 5 days ago. So I went ahead and paid full price for it because it was getting late and we were hungry. The estimated time to pick up the pizza was 45 minutes to 1 hour. So we waited and left and by the time we got there it had been an hour and when they guy looked up our name he told us it wasn’t even made yet and that it would be another 20 minutes. I was a little irritated but I understand because it was a holiday and I knew they were going to be busy. 20 minutes pass and its still not in the oven. Another hour passes and its still not in the oven and the guy at the cash register couldn’t even find our order. We weren’t the only ones either, a couple people were waiting hours for their order and one lady had been waiting for over 3 hours for her order. Needless to say we went to Pizza hut after and they had our order done in 15 minutes. The guy at the cash register wouldn’t do anything about our waiting either and kept acting like he didn’t know what he was doing. You read the order, make whats on the ticket and you give it to the customer when they come to pick it up. Its not hard but for some reason reading and locating a pizza box or order is too complicated for him and a few of the workers that were there that night. Also the manager was just sitting in the back in the office while this was all...
Read moreHorrible customer service! I ordered a pizza about a week ago, and received an email with a coupon for a free Medium 2-topping pizza, for delivery only. Tried to order it tonight, but the website wouldn't allow me to order it because your order has to be $14 minimum, but the coupon took the amount of the pizza off and only had the delivery fee. I called the store to get some help. The first guy I talked to didn't listen to me at all. Told me, "I didn't work here last week". Then said he'll have me talk to the manager. Put me on hold for like 30 seconds and came back and said sorry there's nothing we can do. I said I still want to talk to the manager. His response was, "She'll tell you the same thing". I told him I still want to talk to her. Then some other guy gets on the phone claiming to be the manager. I was like, uh, the guy before you called the manager a she. He said he was a manager from another store. So, i told him what was up. He had me read the coupon code to him. Then tells me their coupon codes are only 4 letters long, and they have been having problems with "this". I asked, so is it spam? He said yes. But, then why would your website accept the code if it isn't valid??? That's ok. I'll order from Papa John's, or dreaded Pizza Hut. If something happens their company actually cares about keeping customers. The first guy wouldn't even let me speak. The second guy blamed some randomness on sending out coupon codes that aren't valid....
