On Tuesday, 01-28-2020 at approximately 10:47am we stopped at the McDonalds on 39th & 291's Drive-thru. Being the 2nd car from the box I could see the menu board and we decided on two of the Sausage, Egg and Cheese McMuffins (All-Day Breakfast shown) As we got to the box, both boards went white and stayed off for a bit. I was greeted and placed the order. I was told "we aren't serving breakfast any longer". Odd, because the board refreshed and half had sandwiches, the other top half had breakfast. A little irritating but ok, the lower part of the right panel had advertised "2 for $5" sandwiches and showed the Fish, Nigets, Quarter Pounder and Big Mac. So we ordered the QPounder and a Big Mac. We were told the order was $11.20. thats odd but we'll see if the price updates at the window. We pull around and told $11.20. I asked how the order came to $11.20 when the special was 2 for $5? The cashier spoke with someone in her headset and said they aren't doing that special any longer. I replied, "It's posted on the menu in full color" She returned with a blank stare. With this many issues just trying to place an order (from the menu) we decided to not risk any further incompetence from this McDonalds or waste further time and head on in to work.
This was out first visit to this McDonalds in maybe 20 years (not since the Long John Silvers fire) and quite possibly the last.
Hopefully this will lead to some improvements and better communication within the store for what is advertised on the menu panels, what is advertised which the store doesn't honor and some customer service skills.
Granted two customers from one vehicle in the drive-thru disappointed with a reasonable expectation of quality service not received likely isn't going to change much, but lets have an optimistic view and hope management makes some...
Read moreFood ordered through the app was made wrong. Fries were cold and soggy, the basket was obviously overfilled and they didn’t shake it halfway through cooking like needs to be done for proper cooking. It was a drive thru order, and we didn’t check the food until we got home because we were in a rush. We called to report the issue, and whoever answered the phone said they would replace the order at a later date no problem, just bring the receipt. Later that same week we went to get the order replaced, and the GM lied saying the credit card wasn’t used there for that amount, and they refused to replace the order. We had the receipt. We had the order on the app being purchased at that location, we had the credit card statement showing we paid that location. It was a $20 order, it’s not like we were wanting a $100 order replaced. We just wanted our food made right like we were told would happen. They refused to replace the food. I get that some people try to get free food and they want to prevent losing money, but the restaurant screwed up our order and we just wanted it made right. Two sandwiches, fries and drinks shouldn’t be $20 anyway but to have to pay that much AND have it made wrong? Ridiculous. If they would have told us to bring the food back the same day to have it made right we would have, but they said it was fine to come back later so that’s what we did. GM needs to get his priorities straight because we USED to go there often, but will be taking our business elsewhere now since he wants to lie to his customers instead of fixing his...
Read moreVisited here on a late night "creep" for a Quarter Pounder w/extra cheese. There was one person in front of me in line and the service was really slow 🐌. The lady who I placed my order with was pleasant and I believe she was the same one who took payment and provided me with my order.
We were staying at a nearby hotel and when I tell you I couldn't wait to get back to our room and eat - I mean it. I was ravenous and I was ready to "throw down", if you know what I mean. Sadly, that feeling didn't last long.
I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. First of all the restaurant is approximately three minutes from the hotel. The food was ice cold and I couldn't understand why if it was served hot to begin with. Needless to say it wasn't.
The burger 🍔 and fries were salty as all get out. The food didn't taste fresh and the burger was just "slopped" together as though whoever made it didn't want to be there and they wanted everybody including the customers to know it.
Listen I get it, this isn't fine dining and fast food is a hard gig sometimes. I'm sure they aren't being paid what they should but what happened to if you're going to do something do it right or don't do it at all?!? This visit was a miss for me and I went to bed still left "wanting" for a doggone QP and some hot fries to dip in ranch. Stop ✋ it! I dun told y'all about the judgement. Lol!
Bottom line: There are definitely some areas of opportunity that management/ownership need to explore here. Until they do, I'd steer clear...
