Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Independence

The last time they had 50 cent corn dogs we went as that's what we usually do for dinner on those days. One, the corn dogs are cooked in such big batches (which we understand because we know they're sold in such big quantities) that they are way underdone inside. I'd rather wait the extra time for them to actually be cooked right. Second, on this particular day, we asked for onion rings and was charged for onion rings, but when we got to the window, the young man informed us that they were out so we settled on fries but he still was charging us for the rings. He could tell my husband was getting irritated but acted pretty nonchalant about it which only added fuel. He said the cook told him they probably had enough rings for the large order that we had initially ordered. We got our order only to find the bag for the rings half full, most of it was pieces of rings and most of it was separated (breading and onions), not to mention how much grease was sitting at the bottom of the bag. We tried to say something but the young man didn't really care and just shrugged and said sorry. We stopped by this one because it's literally right down the street from us and we were stopping on our way to our son's class. We didn't exactly have time to stay and argue about it. This isn't the first time we've had this problem with them. We only stopped at this location because of convenience, otherwise would have went to a different one. Time wise, in the past, they have been extremely slow. I stopped there after my daughter got off work because it was late and we would still be waiting at the stalls for at least 30 mins or more. I've had many bad experiences at this location but today was the worst. I ordered the Sonic burger combo with mayo, minus tomato, with fries and a coke with a mini Butterfinger blast to finish. Well, the carhop comes out with my food,a medium blast, and no coke! I told her I ordered a coke with the meal and a mini blast so she said she would go make my coke and to keep my blast. I tipped her for her awesome service. I go to eat my burger, as requested there was no tomato. However, there was also no lettuce. Actually, there was one shred of wilted lettuce. Whatever, I can deal. Finish my meal and move on to my blast. I'm not kidding, literally the top quarter of the blast was Butterfinger and the rest was m&m. THEN there was whipped cream in the bottom. So I'm thinking they just dumped a different blast in a cup upside down and topped it with what I asked for? Or did I get ice cream from the scrap bin? I will not be going back.

Edit: 12/10/20 I swore I'd never come to this location again but I was working and needed to eat. I ordered mozz sticks with my meal and didn't receive any marinara for them. I go back to ask for it and it takes them nearly 5 minutes to bring it out to me. The only thing I've never had a problem with at this location is the friendliness of the staff. Every other aspect I'm appalled and surprised they're still in business after reading other reviews from people who have an issue every time they come here. Did an online order which I'm new to so I'm still learning. I order two medium shakes, I showed up on time and put in the app what stall I was in and on the app and the screen of the stall shows where your order is, like if it's in the kicthen or on the way out. Well my order just completely disappeared, off the screen and off the app. Waited maybe 20 minutes then I pressed the button and tried figuring out what happened, well the guy said "I'm sorry it'll be right out". I was like okay, then I waited another 25 minutes until I had to press the button again to figure out what happened, the girl that answered didn't even apologise she just said "oh, it'll for real be out this time". I shouldn't have waited 45 minutes for two shakes, if I didn't already pay for them I would've left. The good thing was that my shakes were freshly made and not melted, but one of them didn't come with whip cream and a cherry like it's suppose to and the other I paid extra for it to be on there and it wasn't on there.
