The Player's Club — Restaurant in Independence

Started going here a couple months ago and have been a half dozen times or so. Enjoyed the friendly, laid back atmosphere with pool tables and sports on TV. Food also very good. Would give it 5 stars. THEN, I went last Monday and there was a new waitress (new to me) behind the bar. I had a couple draws and an appetizer - bill was $12.45. Paid with a $20 bill and she gave me $2.55 change and then suddenly got "busy". I sat and waited until I got her attention and when I asked her if my total wasn't $12.45, her immediate reply was, "Oh, didn't I give you your $5.00?" She new very well she tried to cheat me, and for that she got no tip, and I always tip a minimum of 20% and usually more. If I were the owner, I'd watch the cash register. Unfortunately, after finding a "neighborhood" bar I thought I would make a frequent watering hole, not sure I will go back now. May stop in and stay if Christopher is working, but certainly not this...

First time going here with my boyfriend, he ordered a cheeseburger with French fries, I ordered half order of beef nachos, and potato skins. My boyfriend got his burger and fries, he was done by the time I got my nachos, then they say that something was wrong with potato skins and never got them, told us to pick something else and it was on the house so we got cheese sticks, boyfriend had 3 tall beers and a short beer I had a sex on the beach and our total was 75 00. I don't know who else we were paying for, but we got screwed without a kiss, definitely won't...

I walked in ask for water cuase my truck stopped on me and I sat down to charge my phone so I can make calls to get my truck towed and the lady bartender came seconds later telling me I can’t be in the bar unless I knew somebody or in the pool tournament rudely and not right I wasn’t doing anything wrong at all she could have let me charge my phone for 20 30 minutes
