If I could give them no stars, I would.
I pre-ordered pizzas for my son's preschool class to celebrate his birthday on Tuesday. Knowing this location (we order here at least twice a month and they are religiously 20-30 minutes late), we called Wednesday to speak to the manager about the urgency of this order being ready on time (11 AM Thursday) since a class of 3 and 4 year olds were delaying lunch by 20 minutes already just for pizza. We were assured everything would be handled professionally and waiting when I arrived.
On Thursday, when I pulled up to the building at 11, three guys were standing outside laughing (cell phones in hand). As soon as I got out, they informed me that the whole block was without power. I asked them why no one bothered to call me since I stressed the importance of this order during my previous communications with this business. The guy told me their computers were down.
Now, I understand not being able to control a power outage. What I don't understand is why your brain doesn't function well enough to use that cell phone in your hand to call your corporate office for a phone number. It's not rocket science!
So I was due at a preschool by 11:15 and I leave this joke of a business at five after with nothing to feed a class full of kids. Thank God for Chick Fil A in Monroe. They rescued the day!
My husband called corporate regarding this issue. They relayed the message to this location. At which point, some kid (he couldn't be older than early 20s because he uses the word "like" and "um" every two seconds) calls me regarding the complaint AT 10 PM! I have three kids under five and I'm seven months pregnant. Call me in the morning!
He couldn't understand what his employees did incorrectly. The only excuse he offered was that his guys just weren't thinking. Wonderful. That makes up for my son's messed up party, my inconvenience since I was left rushing around for food with a one year old and pregnant, and in general just negates the fact that this location is incapable of any degree of professionalism.
I asked to speak with an owner. My parents have been local small business owners for 30 years. If nothing gets handled with employees, I know an owner always wants to protect the reputation of their investment. What do you know? There is no owner! Just a bunch of teenagers left to operate a franchise by some genius at corporate. So here's to you and your posse of idiots, Papa John's! I hope you guys have backup career plans because running a business like this will not help it last long.
Never ever ever supporting this...
Read moreI have used this location for years and never had a problem. I placed an order through GrubHub and when the pizza arrived one of them were wrong. I called the store and asked to speak to the manager. He told me that he made the pizza himself and it was correct. The pizza was not cooked all the way through. It was not! He also told me there was nothing he could do because it was ordered through Grubhub. (huh) Then he hung up the phone. Customers always come first Mr. Manager. I was livid that he hung up and had an attitude. I called back and they didn’t answer the phone. I placed another order online because I needed to feed my grandkids because that is what they wanted. I waited until I paid for my pizza and then asked for the manager. He came up and I asked why he hung up on me instead of trying to make it right. He knew immediately who I was. He stood right there and told me that he informed his workers not to answer my call. He then said he didn’t hang up which he clearly did. The manager (Trent) was completely wrong and never offered to make the situation correct. You have indeed lost a customer because I will never order from this...
Read moreUpdate- they have been doing a great job with delivery. Friendly people, hot food, felt I needed to give kudos from the review last year.
“I placed an order for a specific time. While I realize that traffic can be a bear near me I felt that it would be a guarantee of getting in time for a couple of kids that had to be somewhere after school. It ended up coming 45 minutes late to which I had to find a convenience store to get them something to eat along the way. I understand this happens but not when you schedule it a couple hours early. Also forgot my sauce for my garlic knots and for the second time I ordered extra peppers but didn't get them. I paid for them but I didn't get them. Doordash guy took off before my daughter could give him a tip. * “Even though I'm unhappy with the service I believe that people should still get paid. I don't think they checked it before it left. Don't know what it is but the service has sunk quite a bit the last few times. At this point I can't say I'm going to order much of Papa John's anymore. It's too much...
