I hate to be this negative, but I have always failed to see why this place has been such a beloved institution beyond its large party room accommodations. I have been many times over the course of 10 years and have yet to see the appeal. The pizza is good if you are a fan of cracker crust, but not great. Sadly, that's the only thing I can truly recommend on the menu. Everything else has been just mediocre or sub-par, with the exception of service and cleanliness. The house salad is honestly one of the most awful salads I've ever been served - a paltry amount of sad iceberg lettuce with what seemed to be half a bag of pre-shredded cheese and a disproportionate amount of raw onions and underripe tomatoes. Tonight, I started off by ordering a bloody mary, and was told they were out of mix and couldn't make one (despite also boasting a full bar area and having the drink on their cocktail menu). Next, I ordered bone-in wings, which I was also informed they were out of. After settling on boneless wings instead (which, I will admit, were good for boneless wings, but I prefer bone-in), another member of our party ordered the rack of ribs, which were extremely dry and rubbery to the point of being almost inedible, and sent them back, only to be told they were the last rack (very obviously) and he would have to order something else. He did get his meal comped for the inconvenience. Two other members of our party received a Caesar salad and Caesar wrap that were just "ok" - the salad was on the verge of having too much dressing and was soggy upon serving, and the wrap had almost no dressing. The only member of our party who had a great experience was the one who ordered the mashed potato pizza. Our server was great and did a good job with taking care of us despite the issues we experienced, but I do not personally think I will be back. I know many places are experiencing supply chain issues, but it is a pretty big bummer for a place that advertises its bar in the name to be out of wings on a weekend night. I will say that the prices are unusually modest for the area, but that is reflective of quality,...
Read moreThis experience was beyond frustrating. I came in on a Tuesday night at 6pm. I waited at the host stand for at least 5 minutes with multiple staff members walking by and no one said a word to me. I overheard multiple people at the carryout counter saying they'd been waiting for 6 or 7 minutes with no one greeting them. When taken to my table, no one apologized for the wait. Fine, no big. Get to the table and we waited another 7 minutes at least for anyone to come to us. The server didn't apologize for the wait either but she was sweet otherwise and took our order right away. Server was great. My Italian salad was phenomenal, my sons pizza was just "ok." Paid and decided to let my kiddo do the arcade since they had "play till you win" and my kiddo is 4. He played four games and had fun. His 5th and last dollar went in the duck machine that is labeled as "play until you win" and he played, lost, and his turn was over. Found the busses and asked her for help. She said she would find someone bc she wasn't familiar with the machines. She left and after 5 minutes of waiting, she never came back and just went to cleaning tables. I left with my kid who was thankfully fine without a prize. I saw the busses as I was leaving and said, "so, I guess we can't get reimbursed for the duck game" and she just walked away. So, despite having the most amazing salad, I will never be eating here again. Also, they were dead except the bar and this party in the back room but if someone had been transparent and apologetic about the latency, it would've been fine. I have worked in a restaurant. It's not that hard to just communicate...

Most who know me realize my dad is on hospice. He is usually awake 3-4 hours in the evening when we come to have a family meal together.
About once every 2-3 weeks he actually has enough energy to get in the car for us to take him to dinner. He can’t eat much, and at about 85 pounds he has terrible pain and discomfort. He is weak and fatigued.
Tonight he felt well enough to try to eat out so we picked someplace close of course. Archie and Clyde’s in Newburgh. Upon arrival I explained the situation and asked, given his disability if they could accommodate him by getting us seated and let us order early so we wouldn’t have him there too long. The two young ladies handling take out and seating were very kind.
The Manager, Lindsay came out, was loud and told us there would be no accommodation.
Hostess said we could sit outside (it’s 100% empty) but the heat would be hard on him. Lots of tables available and we offered to split into 4 and 2, but she said the kitchen was booked. (But the kitchen can cook if we sit on the patio?) I’m beyond annoyed. 🙄
No compassion. Wasn’t even...
