The evening we were there service was bad. Our waiter r Took alomst 20 min to take our drink order amd get us menus. Then when we got our menus he was all over us. Are you ready to order, can I take your order. We asked him to vive us a few minutes as this was our first time here. He came back literally 60 seconds later and asked us what he could get for us. I asked qhat he recommended. All he said was the deep dish pizza. He said its what they are famous for. We made our order and 20in later they came out to tell us that they were out of chicken. Ok fine. He said we will repace it with chicken meatballs. Is that ok? Sure. Wrong mistake. Besides we were confused because we had chicken in our sampler??? Im pretty sure everything is packaged different and its a different chicken than whats on the pizza. Anyways our appitizer sampler came out 10 min before our pizza did. Which took 45-50 min because we ordered the deep dish. The appetizer sampler was amazing!!! Loved it the Mozz triangles were beautiful golden and crispy and the chicken wings were amazing. The ranch and marinaria they served were somthing left to be desired. Imho. Then before our pizza came out they were clearing previous tables from customers and the guy cleaning the table i guess decided his rag was too wet and wrund it out on the floor!!!!! 😲 What!?!?!?! And then after he wiped the table down he left with a big puddle of water on the floor. What a tripping/slipping hazzard to whom ever sites there next!!!! Never mind gross!!!! Why would you not go back to your sani pail and re dampen your rag and wring it in the sink/bucket/pail???? Thats laziness.. Our pizza came. The pizza had a beautiful cheese pull that I was totally into. And my husbands side of his pizza looked decent. My side lookes like a swimming pool of cheese. I ordered pepperoni and ground beef on my side. Honestly it wasnt that great. I mean my husband and I both LOVE cheese and this was too much. As I was eating I choked 3 times on the cheese. NOT COOL. The crust sounded and looked amazing. But they layer closest to the top of the pizza was still semi raw dough! My guess is because they either par bake the pizza before adding toppings and they dont drain their vegetables that well and my hubbys side was a chicken and veggies. Or there is just so kuch oil from the cheese that it makes what crust there was there so soggy. Never mind you can not taste any of the toppings because its just all cheese. Was greatly disappointed. And the $75 price tag for the pizza was just a bit much and totally didnt help our opinion. I have no problem paying that much money for 2 people to eat dinner if the quality of the food and the service, and the cleanliness is there... none of which this place was HYPED up to be....
Sad to say my first experience was jot pleasant and dont know when or even IF we will ever give this place a second chance... For now. We...
Read moreI was so bummed! Nothing was good. Salads were strange and Chicken was packaged fake grill marks like you get at gordons. Cheesy garlic bread was burnt and had an unpleasant flavor with ok sauce. Pizzas were basic. Square cut thin crust with ingredients under cheese so raw tasting pepperoni, sausage and veggies. And very little topping at that. Mushrooms appeared to be less than 1/3 cup for a large . BBQ chicken with absolutely burnt not caramelized onions these were full on burnt with sweet baby ray type BBQ sauce. Overpowering entire pizza Fettuccine i had to send back. Flavorless. Ragu has a better sauce and the chicken was again store bought already sliced gross gordon foods type. Deep dish was the most disappointing item of the night. Nothing like Chicago. Lexys and Venice has a way way better and deeper dish pizza. Appears to be a thin crust pizza with and inch of cheese and miniscule toppings then another thin crust and another inch of mozzarella and topped with miniscule sauce. Top was dry not wet with sauce. Cheese pulled nice on first slice then cheese cooled off and like eating two thick slices of mozzarella. Spent 140 plus tip. And that had the nasty pasta off the bill. Absolutely will not go back. I was so very disappointed. The reason I gave it 2 stars was for atmosphere and fun watching kitchen staff except.the bearded men had no beard cover on. mouths covered by mask but beard hair could go anywhere I feel sorry for this business as I believe they do not stand a chance. It is that ba So update...went back for a birthday dinner. August 2025 Still the worst food ever. I cannot believe people like this place. Everything is terrible. Kids pizza was hard to bite! Had to cut it up for child to eat any. Ate less than 1/2 piece. Chicken parm and spaghetti for the family was a good size but burnt dry chicken and decent sauce. Nothing to write home about but edible unlike the deep dish nasty raw pizza. Seriously raw. I will never be back. Thought maybe my first review was harsh cause they just opened. But its been 2 years and its...
Read moreWe came here for Savor Fort Wayne, and while I've had this pizza a couple of times my boyfriend from Illinois has not. So my take away on what we had last night.
Pizza: 10 in parm crusted with sausage mushroom and pepperoni. This place knows how to make damn good pizzas I'll say that much. And it's totally worth the wait.
Salads: we had the house salad and the Cesar salad. Both were okay but in my own opinion not something I would order again. The lemon vinegarette for the house salad dressing was just okay, not my favorite. I tried the Cesar and my bite of it....the Cesar was over powering in flavor. My boyfriend however liked both salads.
Giordano sample platter: we both enjoyed the sample platter and it came with four different sauces. Would recommend as an appetizer with more than 2 people. We took some of this and our pizza home.
Tiramisu: boy howdy was i excited for this. I love love love Tiramisu, it's my favorite. DO NOT order this. It was so disappointing. It was soggy and just all around awful. We both tried to power through it but ended up not finishing it. Would not recommend this to anyone who wants dessert.
The service was good, the place clean, parking is limited but we went later so found a spot easily. All around will go back for the pizza for sure and I would recommend this people. However be aware it's bit expensive compared to your run of the mill domino's or pizza hut lol and there is usually a wait on pizzas since they make them fresh. Typically 40 minutes for a deep dish but your servers do tell you ahead of time.
Will be back :) my boyfriend says this is his new...
