The Pub at Anson — Restaurant in Indiana

My husband and I have been regular patrons of The Pub At Anson , always enjoying the food and drinks. However, during our recent visit, things took a sour turn. When someone made an unsolicited comment towards my husband, I asked them to mind their own business. Shockingly, the person persisted and made another comment as they left. I responded in kind, but to our dismay, the owner sided with the individual, despite being unaware of the situation.

This disrespectful and disappointing treatment left us feeling attacked and harassed. As loyal customers, we expected better support and understanding. The owner's decision to defend the wrong party and dismiss our concerns was both disheartening and disgusting. We can no longer recommend The Pub at Anson to others seeking a respectful and welcoming experience. Zero stars for their lack of empathy and poor...

Me and my wife were once almost daily regulars. Emphasis on were. We never caused any problems and always tipped well for their services. But the other day we were hassled by another group of patrons for no reason. We hadn't even spoken to them or were causing a fuss. We told the group to mind their own business. This made them more upset so the back and forth continued. The owner stepped in and sided with the other group. Never planning to go back. If we were in the wrong ok fair not the establishments fault. But I am not. We were being peaceful, not causing issues. Until the other patrons decided...

This is a terrific little neighborhood pub, emphasis on little. I keep hoping one of the adjacent businesses goes out and the Pub expands.

The food is well made pub fare. My favorites are the chili and the fried chicken sandwich. I like the BLT as well. They do fried fish on Fridays, always a good choice.

While they have a lot of spirits on the back bar, they're a liiiiiittle pricey. The beer is cold and priced right.

We live within walking distance and visit 3-4 times a month, enough for the staff to know our names and be happy to see us. Isn't that a main advantage of a...
