Convenient and consistent. We decided to pick up an early dinner after a day of shopping. Decided on McDonald's because we know the food and it's only ~1mile from the house. We arrived at 3:15 pm on a Saturday. I would have thought it wouldn't be too busy. However, it took 15 minutes to get through the drive thru and another 5 minutes for my daughter to go back inside because they got part of our order wrong. We ordered two 10-piece meals, a plain double cheeseburger meal, and a Mcdouble bundle. The only unusual part of our order was the plain cheeseburger (nothing but cheese) and a half cut sweet tea( 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet). We always check the cheeseburger because they put ketchup, mustard, etc, on it every other time we order. As expected, they did it again, even though I told them "plain" when I ordered and double-checked with the cashier when I paid. My other issue is the false advertising of the Daily Double Bundle. It's a McDouble and small fries for $3.29. I realized that they charged me $3.29 for the hamburger and $1.99 for the fries just as I was driving away from the speaker. I intended to say something at the pay window but got distracted by double checking the plain cheeseburger. When we realized the cheeseburger wasn't plain, I was going to send my daughter in with the receipt to dispute the charge, but the receipt was blank except for the header in the middle and obviously had been jammed in the printer. Not sure what the problem is, but when my daughter returned with the correct sandwich, she said there was a "ton of employees " inside so maybe they were in the middle of the shift change and she said she had to speak to 3 different people to get a new cheeseburger. I'd excuse it if this was an isolated incident, but they consistently get the plain cheeseburger order wrong despite the time of day or the level of busyness. Despite this, we continue to patronize this location because of the convenience, and the staff is friendly if...
Read moreThis is the third time in a row we had an issue. I placed a curbside pickup order, and after 15 minutes I went in and asked why the order was taking so long especially since the app stated it would take 2 to 5 minutes to deliver. After showing two sets of proof, app and email confirmation, of the order to the manager, he asked me why I was coming in to pick up the order. Seriously? I went in to determine the status of the order, and being asked why I came in. All I wanted was the order delivered because my family and I were hungry. A minute later the food was delivered, but not impressed. The buns, on all three burgers, were falling apart (cracked buns and falling apart after the first bite), and the bacon was limp and tired. I'm not sure what has changed here, but the service, food and atmosphere has changed for the worse. I don't anticipate ever going back again. That's sad because just a few months ago this was my go to McDonald's in the area.
The last two times we have visited the service and food has been underwhelming to say the least. A week ago we visited, and multiple food items were messed up. The Spicy McCrispy sandwich came with pickles when the order clearly stated no pickles. When we opened the box of 6 pieces of Chicken McNuggets there weren't any. Instead it was filled with Big Mac Sauce. Also, the McNugget sauce was not in the bag, Then when I went inside to get the sauce I had to wait 10 minutes before anyone offered to help. Then we went today, and more mistakes. We did a curbside pickup, and the bag clearly stated Curbside Pickup, but the employee was just about to give our order to someone in the drive-thru. I ordered a regular Quarter Pounder with Cheese with no extras. When I opened the container it had lettuce, tomato and Big Mac Sauce. I ate it, but did not enjoy it. If I went inside I was afraid I would be waiting forever to get assistance. Not happy at all with the...
Read moreWent through the drive thru this morning on our way to Bloomington from the northwest side of Indy where we live. First, we had to actually say something into the speaker before anyone acknowledged us. I Ordered an Iced Mocha and an oatmeal. Pulled right up to the pay window, then directly to the pickup window (there was no line). We were immediately told to pull ahead while they completed my order. No line, but yet I had to wait on a oatmeal and an iced coffee? So after waiting almost 10 minutes, someone broght the order to the wait window. We asked if there was a spoon in the bag and she said yes. We pulled off and as we got down the road I saw what I thought was a spoon under my napkin. I pulled out my straw then began searching for my spoon. I took everything out of the bag but the plastic I mistook for a spoon was the bags of oatmeal toppings. So I called the store since we didn't have time to turn around, and I couldn't eat my food. But after explaining to the manager, she offers to replace my meal the next time I come in. I thanked her then explained that I live no where near Camby. I wouldn't be back in the area. Yet she just kept insisting she'd replace my meal THE NEXT TIME I'm in the area. Again I explain that I live 20+ miles away. But she's not listening and again offers to replace it next time. I finally got upset and exclaimed that there wouldn't be a next time and hung up. You would think she would've asked about my method of payment. That way had I paid with card (which I did) she could have simple reimbursed me for the oatmeal that later ended up in the trash. I had a really long day ahead and this started it out on...
