I ordered my food at 7:40 and it said it was ready at 7:47 when I showed up at 7:52 it still wasn’t ready. The receipt was still sitting in the printer, the drive through girl came over and asked how she could help me and I told her I was waiting for my order. She grabbed the paper and put it on the little clip thing in the counter and went back to drive. Then I waited..for a while. Finally a girl walked up and just looked at me, I finally told her that the other girl put my order paper on the counter and she just walked away. Then a guy walked in and stood infront of the order screen and completely ignored me. Finally around 8:00 the cook who I believe name is Georgia came up and asked how she could help me. I told her about my order and she went to go bag it. She started making new sandwiches as the guy tried to bag old ones that were cold in the bag to give to me and she stopped him. He then put up a fight with her about giving me the sandwich’s and she told him no they are cold and through them away. She offered me a pie for my wait in which I asked for a soda and was given it. I finally left at 8:06. This whole time no other customers came in. In total there was 5 workers and only 2 actually doing anything. I could tell who the manager was due to her walking around putting on gloves like she was doing something but over all she never did a thing the whole time I was in there. Sandwich’s were good but the fries were cold. Horrible experience. The one workers Georgia was very...
Read moreFirst of all, the food was really good here. My mom and I don't always agree about taste but we sure did this time. She had a bacon chicken Swiss and I had a turkey bacon sandwich. Great bread, great meats, nice side of curly fries. To be nitpicky, we ordered to eat in, and they gave it in a carryout format, but no harm no foul.
The staff was friendly and contrasted nicely with the staff at nearby Burger King and up the road 16th and Shadeland Wendy's. They were almost on par, in terms of politeness, with Starbucks and Culver's, the gold standard of franchise wait service.
On the other hand, the newly renovated dining area was dirty, some tables were very wobbly, and the floor was sticky. Not too impressive for a recently remodeled establishment.
Bigger issue still, the prices are quite high here. We had a coupon for a free sandwich and still ended up paying $13+ for one sandwich meal combo. That struck as a bit exorbitant. Especially with much cheaper Burger King next door and imminently reasonably priced Subway just across the street.
Bottom line: Great food, great service, dirty dining room, exorbitant prices
Pro Tip Be forewarned that entering from southbound Shadeland or westbound 21st Street is challenging due to concrete medians. Not impossible, but certainly not...
Read moreI usually don't score low on restaurants knowing that the workers do all they can to help. However this experience is honestly disheartening and frustrating. I was on a road trip back home and I had to make a stop at Arby's. I get motion sickness so I vomited a little so I needed to get cleaned up, so why not get a soothing drink after I used the latrine to get off the old clothes. I ran into a young man with vibrant hair. I was worried It was closing so I asked if I could use the latrine. He rudely looked me up and down turning me down with " no you have to buy something". I was until that was mentioned. So I have to buy something in vomit covered clothes to use the bathroom so I am not a walking biohazard? I had to get one of my friends to go buy something for me so I could be clean. Then as I am in there ( while they were buying a drink FOR ME!) one of the staff told me I needed to get out cause I didn't buy anything. I proceed to tell them that my buddies were getting something for me. " I don't care get Out!" Honestly I have never been this frustrated with a restaurant as much as thus one. Honestly the people who were more concerned about our situation than the staff was. 🙄 unbelievable...
