Big Kahuna's Pizza — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I’ve only had kahunas once before and I don’t remember any issues at the time. Today I was planning to check them out again and order dinner for myself and a friend. While I was waiting for dinner time I decided to look over the reviews. First, let me say I absolutely do not believe the customer is always right and I’m very aware that some people leave negative reviews just to cause trouble. But I’m extremely disturbed by the responses I’m seeing from the owner. The owner only rarely comments on positive reviews and instead responds to negative reviews in the most unprofessional and aggressive manner I’ve ever seen from a business let alone the “owner”. I saw quite a few positive reviews that went totally ignored. I did not see a single attempt to resolve any of the negative reviews. Most responses to negative reviews were aggressive, name calling, talking down, insulting and grossly unprofessional. In all honesty, had I not seen the owners unprofessional responses I would have ignored those negative reviews, ordered my pizza and made up my own mind about the business. As I stated earlier I do know that people leave bogus reviews for whatever reason. BUT on the flip side, not every negative review is fake either. Had the owner just shown an attempt at resolving an issue I wouldn’t be concerned. I would have been fine if he just ignored those intentionally negative posts and just focused on the good reviews and promoting a customer service friendly environment. But I’m seriously blown away by the responses I’ve read. As much as I wanted to order this pizza tonight, I just can’t do it. I’m not a picky or difficult customer by any means and would likely have had no issue whatsoever. But, what if I did? I already know exactly what kind of reaction I would get. Maybe I’ll revisit the reviews later...

Truthfully I didn't want to give them even one star. HORRIBLE. I ORDERED RAVIOLI 2 DINNER MEALS AND WE GOT STUFFED SHELLS.. WE DISNT ORDER STUFFED SHELLS. SHE JUST ASSUMED WE WANTED STUFFED SHELLS. APPARENTLY THEY RAN OUT OF RAVIOLI AND THEY WERE SENT STUFFED SHELLS INSTEAD. SHE TRIED TO ARGUE WITH ME THAT THEY ARE THE SAME THING. NO. SWEETY THEY ARENT. STUFFED SHELL IS FILLED WITH RICOTTA. AND IS A THICKER NOODLE. THIS IS THE MANAGER OF BIG KAHUNAS. I PLAN TO LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW CRAPPY THEY ARE. IF I WANTED STUFFED SHELLS I WOULDA ORDERED THAT. I WANTED RAVIOLI. AND SHE DIDNT ASK ME IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THAT I CAN DO. SHE SAID DONT ORDER FROM US THEN. I CANT BELIEVE HOW WRONG SHE WAS. SHE WAS WRONG. I SPENT 35$ WHICH IS WAY OVER PRICED FOR THE FOOD. SO UNHAPPY. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THERE AGAIN. I WILL LET BE LETTING IT BE KNOWN TO.

SHE DIDNT OFFER TO CREDIT OUR ACCOUNT OR ANYTHING. SHE SAID NOONE ELSE COMPLAINED. WELL MANAGER LADY THID IS WJAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SAID.. SORRY MAAM WE ARE CURRENTLY OUT OF RAVIOLIS. BIT WE DO HAVE SOMETHING SIMILAR... IM ITALIAN I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. ANYWAYS.. IF THAT WAS SAID WHEN I WAS ORDERING. I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SPAGHETTI. NOT STUFFED SHELLS. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE OWNER. THE FRANCHISEE, COPORATE.. WHOEVER. IM VERY UPSET.. THIS ISNT ACCEPTABLE. THE SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE. THE CUSTONER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. SHE NEEDS TO NOT TAKE ORDERS...

I have never had to Kahunas until today. I was grateful because they were the one place but delivered who could break my hundred dollar bill. it took me awhile to figure out what I wanted but I figured I'd get a barbecue chicken sandwich and a side of fries. I asked if I could upgrade them to the mozzarella and bacon fries, to which they said they needed to have me pay for a full order of mozzarella fries. No big deal to me as I love fries. my order came in half the time they said it would be. Mostly because I live right around the corner. I open my sandwich and was kind of disappointed with the lack of sauce. But simply put more on from my barbecue sauce in the fridge. No big deal to me I was just starving. But I was still a little disappointed. Well then I opened up the mozzarella and bacon fries and I must say WHOA. The fries were loaded with mozzarella and bacon you couldn't even see the fries because of the amount of bacon on top of it. I was so impressed with that. As a bacon lover it made me forget completely about the lack of barbecue on my sandwich. I ate as much fries as I could before feeling completely full. Absolutely loved the fries and it was definitely worth paying for the full order. I had not expected the fries to be so loaded and so satisfying but I'm over all impressed of this place. Now I have a full belly and a bunch of fries for later when I get hungry for a snack. Definitely will be...
