Denny's — Restaurant in Indianapolis

TLDR: Waitress could be suffering from depression might need to talk to someone, food was decent but order was wrong and the restaurant was super unclean. Just order to go.

Tonight was awful. To set the place there wasn't that many people there. An employee's toddler was there with her running around behind the counter and yelling with a full diaper pretty stinky, gross and a bit annoying but we understand that babysitters sometimes fall through, no biggie after she changed the child. It took a full hour after ordering only to find out our order wasn't placed. After asking the waitress she only says she forgot. While waiting for our food the people seated next to us decided now was the best time to YELL out buffalo bill lines you know the one it puts the lotion on the skin, then there was a group of guys dressed as bikers that arrived in a van yelling and trying to act hard complaining about not having beer. My fiancees pot roast dinner didn't come with the broccoli or mashed potatoes that she ordered, it came with just a mountain of fries the waitress explained that by default it comes with 2 sides of fries we know that was a lie we then order a side of broccoli again which we never recieved. When our waitress arrived with the food she was just kind of dropping the plates on the table I expressed concern she might burn herself on my skillet and she said why if she burns herself at least then she can go to the hospital and leave early. I ordered the Crazy spicy skillet was suppose to get 2 additional eggs for a $1.00 but the receipt said $4.00 for the eggs. I went to the bathroom and there was urine all over the floor, toilet, and urinal absolutely disgusting and unsanitary for anyone sitting near the bathrooms that has to be a health hazard. Not to mention any employees using the bathroom is just dragging urine into the kitchen and sitting area on their shoes. We didn't get any refills. To be clear we where nice and respectable to our waitress even after finding out she didnt place our order no big deal we could just continue to watch netflix on the phone no biggie but the ammount of not caring and disrespect was a bit over the line I feel like she was suffering from depression and should talk to someone When I went to pay I saw the charge was wrong on my reciept and asked for a correction was told there was no manager on shift and that this would be a problem but she was able to take the eggs off and a soda for the wait. The pot roast and the skillet was actually decent but everything else was horrid. The most we actually got out of our waitress was a plan to hurt herself. My family and I had a terrible experience at this location on 9/21/2019. We went for breakfast at 11am. Our server was Cindy, she is not good at serving under pressure in a busy establishment. She cracks under pressure. Ordering our food she very snappy while speaking your order she cuts you off and her facial expressions you can just tell she is not happy to be doing her job at all. Our food took 35 minutes to get to us after those 35 minutes we are in need of refills when we finally get food and Cindy is aware of that says she will get it but then we have to ask for refills 15 minutes after she’s already acknowledged that fact. When we ask she does hand and facial expressions and is snappy and says I am going to get them! In the midst of this Cindy picks up multiple drink trays rushes off and while storming off with an attitude drops a heavy drink tray onto my 80 year old grandmothers arm! Cindy apologizes and grabs ice for grandmothers arm and alerts us a manager has been told and on the way. 15 minutes go by, no manager. I have to get up from my table and go tell an employee that my grandmother has been hurt by an employee and curious what is so important that a manager lets 15 minutes go by knowing an injured customer is sitting in her dining room. Athena was the manager at the time she comes to me and says she knows and she heard the trays drop and was coming, but as far as management goes that’s a problem to me, if you hear a guest has been injured in your restaurant that is serious business and you need to stop what you are doing and go assist that guest! But that is not what happened at all. A report was taken and the manager comped my grandmothers meal. But we had an absolutely terrible experience there and will never be back! There was no sense of urgency at all when my grandmother was hurt, and her whole upper arm and elbow is bruised black...

RUN do not walk to another establishment. WARNING for your own safety. My partner & I went there today around noon but ordered breakfast. He ordered the steak & eggs while I got the american slam. Never asked how I wanted my eggs scrambled was assumed. Steak and the red potatoes were both over salted to the point the flavor of food was overwhelmed

This steak being oversalted lead to the upcoming experience. Sent back with waitress to "redo" received same piece of meat back after being washed with water. HUH Spoke with Manager who promised a redo to which 2nd steak was RAW in the middle NOT undercooked RAW

The Manager was extremely RUDE and unprofessional. In regards to the salt his response is it's our job to let them know not to use so much and a direct quote about the RAW steak "It's hard to cook it by the bone." When we were paying this same manager was overheard speaking in the kitchen about that FUING AHOLE complained about the steak again while another waitress refused to serve RAW eggs to another customer.

Observed 2 other elderly couples having to inform the staff that they can't walk that far to be seated when 1st the Manager and then a waitress tried to seat them toward the back of the seating area. The Manager when confronted with this slammed the 1st couples menus on a closer table and RUDELY sat them closer to the front.

Before this I was a semi regular, however, that was at night to which the staff has NEVER acted this way. I will NEVER go back. No apologies only excuses blaming US for having the audacity to say anything and be an imposition to them. The only thing done was we didn't have to pay for that steak nothing more. Completely the WORST experience I've ever had the misfortune to have.

Go to IHOP instead anywhere else RAW food is a health risk and...
