Fazoli's — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Once upon a Friday, I wanted some delicious fazoli's. I hit the drive-thru and ordered one sub. Simple. Being the only one there, I figure this should be pretty quick as I've just got out of my second job and needed something to eat before I go home.

After about 5 minutes of waiting at the window, another car pulled up behind me. I was told to move forward to a designated spot, and someone would bring my food out to me. No problem.

20 minutes later, the person who pulled up behind me got 2 huge bags of handed to them, and they left.

From where Im sitting at, I can clearly see inside the restaurant and notice that there's nobody inside this place except 2 employees who were standing around by the registers and 2 behind the kitchen window talking to each other like they didn't have a sudden flood of online orders to complete. There wasn't a single to go bag on the warming shelf waiting for those door dash drivers.

I drove back up to the drive-thru window to check in to see where my sandwich was cause at this point, I'm genuinely curious as well as a little hangry.

The guy who took my order and my money acted like he didn't know who I was or what I was talking about until I reminded him with a receipt that I did in fact make a purchase even though its been a while. He then went back to see what was going on, and it turns out, according to him, they just started making my sub - we're now 30 minutes after I ordered the thing.

He goes on to tell me that coincidentally, a flood of online orders came in the exact moment I made my order in the drive thru and they just had to take care of those online orders (as well as the person that ordered 2 bags of food after me) before they could get to making my one sub. After telling me this, one more car pulls up behind me and orders over the mic. The guy at the window asks me to pull forward yet again because he needed to take the guys money behind me.

After a back and fourth with this kid, I told him he already took my money long before this other customer even thought to grab some Fazolis.

I go on to say that at this point I'm not moving until I get my food. He then went to check one more time for the sandwich as if one of the employees standing around talking actually did something in that time. Not even 10 seconds later, lo and behold, it was ready to go! He hands me my food and, upon inspection, is right about room temperature. The breadsticks were just awful and cold because, like the sub, they had been sitting on the counter the entire time.

I don't know who in their right mind is leaving this place 5 star reviews, but I'll take 2 of whatever...

While the staff is nice...the update to the containers is absolute ridiculous!

My usual is a baked chicken Parmigiano and just a few days ago I had a wonderful portion size ...today I order the exact same thing and it came in this "upgraded" container....it may not be the staff's fault, but whoever authorized this decision should really just leave things alone. It's supposed to be the "same portion size" but who wants their food squished into a small container? With no room to really move food around to eat it without possibly making a mess? I've been eating here and at this location for years with no complaints. It really gives the illusion of less food and someone just being cheap and rushing my food when the last time i was here a few days ago it looked like someone put real care into my food and almost looked like an ad picture. I just spent about $40 and I feel like I just got completely ripped off. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Maybe one of the other locations has the regular containers...

Ok, I was hopeing to goto speedway for pizza. But was over voted, so we wait in a zero person line. And stand before the register.... 5 min wait. Happens. And we are served. .....without a smile. Camryn smile :) When it was my turn it was hard to understand what was being told to me. I ordered the #4 combo meal? 9 bucks, ok, and no drink I wasnt asked for a drink either. For how dry my alfredo was a drink would be nice, lol. Luckily my friend ordered 2 drinks. And he liked his meal, yay. This being his first fazolis. Anyway

We are ordered and sitting....

15 min later...

Food and a small smile. I'll take it. Me? I'm a big smiler, specially at work, if ya cant smile. A fake smile sends a good positive vibe. While eating a black spider was seen on the window. I use my reciept and kill it..... yeah..

No. Bad black spiderman... but yeah. Im.suprised this place got 4 star....keep up the.....good work?..... Anyway, stay happy, or show...
