Have made 3 trips here over the past couple months. First trip: AMAZED at how busy and terrible the front is setup. You walk through doors to be about 5 feet from the hostess stand. I notice two couples in front of us, leaving us in the cold doorway, so instead of making it harder for everyone we move sideways, facing the same booth. We are literally a foot away from the booth waiting to be seated or get our name on the list. 3+ groups are taken care of before us (and came after us) before we have to forcibly request the attention of the hostess when she had clearly seen us come in and wait right next to her for 5 minutes. We finally get seated and the food was decent. No complaints, nothing special, prices too high. Second trip: I sit for some time, get there about opening time, waitress is kind, tolerates me sitting with my sister for her birthday for a couple hours, food was decent, drinks were great. All good. Third trip: ridiculous. Somewhat busy, but not terrible, was seated on arrival (didn’t make the mistake of making room for people this time) by a very pushy waitress. Seemed she expected us to Know exactly was we wanted as soon as we sat down. She was very short, direct. Fine… then we are a group of 4 siblings trying to enjoy a meal together, the waitress brings out our check without clarifying if we wanted anything else. Ok… shortly after starts taking one thing at a time from our table (expecting us to pay and leave). I’m paying close attention to the overall crowd and notice a decent amount of turnover and there are frequently empty/available tables, so I know we are not taking their tables. Yet, still things are being removed from our table. Next thing you know, some sort of manager is next to our table and removes my sister’s drink that was unfinished and costs at least 6-7$. Then proceeds to hover near our table, touching her shoulder and telling her how “busy they are” after she’s literally just removed her drink, our coffee is gone, etc. We continue to talk, as I don’t feel the need to be rushed out if they aren’t full capacity and I am a paying customer with a 20% tip and haven’t caused them any issue or been particularly difficult to please. mind you, food was not great this trip, eggs slimy for some, bacon undercooked for one of us, potatoes undercooked… So, naturally, I stay seated, completely ignoring the brash push out. I’m not being rude, just not going to feed into whatever hateful personal problem the manager and our waitress clearly had this day. About the two hour mark, same manager is walking past us “some people just don’t know when to leave” holding coffee cups in both hands in the air, dramatic as can be. I’d had enough, took my tip with me, left like they wanted. For what gain? None in my opinion. Waitress could have been more opportunistic and welcoming and kept her tip, but clearly her memo was not heard and just an hour and a half into sitting she’s telling her manager we’ve been there “just too long”. Absolutely ridiculous. At no point were they particularly full, I’ve never been pushed out so quickly and so hatefully ANYWHERE I’ve sat. Just very appalling to be greeted by some Carmel-energy in Greenwood. And not even downtown Greenwood, just across from the trashy mall Greenwood. Come on guys, figure it out. Your prices don’t match your quality, your manager is terrible. I don’t recommend going here unless maybe you’re at the bar, and even then you may be shooed out, have poor food, or have ten people seated before you when you got...
Read moreWell I can say I am extremely disappointed 🤐😩😮💨 I've been waiting about 9 months to get into this restaurant. Me and my fiance have been to the Avon restaurant twice and have been told there was a 45 minute wait once and we couldn't stay that time and the next time we came there was a 75 minute wait 😳..... So once again we didn't have the time to wait this time and we decided we'll try again. So this last Monday, April 1st was our third attempt to get in. We went to the greenwood restaurant, there was absolutely no wait 🎉👏🏻👏🏻🎉 So we were pleasantly surprised and eager to see what everyone had been talking about. Well our waitress came. Her name was Mandy. She took our order and disappeared........ Several more people came in. Three other families sat down around us. And we still had not gotten anything from our waitress. Couldn't even find her on the floor 😮💨 the other families that came in after us had already given their order and had started receiving food 😳😳 and we still had NOTHING 🚫 We finally were able to flag down our waitress and she gave us the excuse that there had been a HUGE TO GO ORDER AND THEY WERE REALLY BACKED UP IN THE KITCHEN.... But still again the three tables that came in after us they were already eating their food. It took a total of 45 minutes to get our food 😳 mind you all they really had to do was make toast and scramble some eggs (That doesn't take that long) The second the waitress put our food down. She disappeared again 🫤 I realized that nobody brought me my bacon. I ordered a full-sided bacon!!! And I ordered the biscuits and gravy but I didn't even get a full tablespoon of gravy. There was not even enough to eat with one biscuit 😵 When I finally was able to find the waitress again, I was almost completely done with my order. And she looked puzzled and said what do you mean? Didn't you get your bacon 🥓 I said no or I wouldn't be asking for it 😡 So she brought me an order of bacon 10 minutes later 😮💨 but by this time I was done with all my food and the three tables that came in after us. We're already gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was quite disappointed with the fact that there was absolutely NO care given to us and absolutely NO ONE paid attention and made sure that people were served food in a reasonable amount of time and in order of the way that they came into the store/ restaurant. I did not give much of a tip because we had absolutely no one take care of us 😤😤 and to think I've been waiting this long to get into here and have been so excited to get here, ONLY TO BE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND I DON'T CARE IF I EVER COME BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE AND THE FOOD WAS NOT SO GREAT. IT WAS LACKING EVERYWHERE😤😡🤬 I sure hope someone can explain to me why this happened to us 😤 ❓❓❓❓ I mean at this point I can't wait to tell everyone I know what crappy service we got and to never go here ‼️ Waiting to hear what the managers have...
Read moreI have been to this location several times and can confidentially say I will not be back. The food has always been excellent but the customer service from the hostess, Lyndsey this morning was absolutely appalling. My boyfriend and I came in for brunch around 11:30 this morning. There was a short wait so we went to the bar. The bartender was excellent (I’ve been served by him before and he was great). After a few minutes of sitting, the chairs at the bar were tight and uncomfortable for us being taller and larger people so I apologized and asked if we’d be able to put our name on the waitlist for a table. The bartender told us we could take the table behind us. We asked if it was still his section and he said yes so we thanked him and started to grab our things. The hostess then came over and in a short, rude tone asked us if we were “trying to take this table.” I told her that the bartender had told us to and she quickly replied and said she already sat somewhere there. She then yelled at him across the bar that “she’s on a wait” and rolled her eyes. She then snapped at us and told us that she could put us on the waitlist which looked like was short.
We were 100% fine waiting for a table. The issue that caused us to leave the restaurant and eat elsewhere was how the situation was handled. This was definitely a miss communication between staff and should have been handled as such. To come over and accuse us of trying to take a table was ridiculous and uncalled for. When we were leaving, I told the hostess she could remove us from the waitlist to which she replied “you aren’t on one.” I’ve never been so applaud at service in my life. If the hostess would have spoken to us and her coworker with kindness and respect than there would have been no issue. I would hope that this was just a bad day for her and not a...
