Half the games are broken, especially for the younger kids. There's no real actual one on one time with Chuck E. Cheese. He comes out, gives a few kids high fives then disappears and the build up for him merits at least a little show.
The party hostess, Mason, needs retrained in how to deal with people. Very kind, and sweet, but clearly overwhelmed or introverted. She could have easily said "we put in the party's food order when your party starts" instead she said 3-4times "are you ready to order?" while hovering and not moving while we looked at menus. Literally just stood over my friends shoulder and didn't say anything. Half our party wasn't even there yet, and finally she said, after 15min of her pacing and hovering over us that it was customary to place the order when the party starts. Like girlfriend, say that upfront, don't be a silent, lurking weirdo. And as she was serving the birthday kids their pizza, she was told over the headset that more pizza was ready. Instead of finishing serving the kids then getting the next pizza, she served two kids, then set the pizza and knife at the corner of the table between two kids, not even with the adults, and walked away. Then looked surprised we just took over serving the kids. Like, you set the pizza in front of them at the corner of the table.
As a former service manager, her entire interaction with us from start to finish was cringe-worthy. Nothing she did felt genuine or friendly. It felt forced and like she was massively uncomfortable the entire time.
There was an issue with our playcards but it was resolved and the manager added extra for our inconvenience. He was very friendly and apologetic. These are clearly nice people, but customer service is lacking, and again the games we were interested in were all broken. It'd be better for you to not go in here with any...
Read moreWe went our 4yo just for the arcade aspect and I'm trying to justify it all considering I feel that $30 for an hour is pretty decent for an arcade. But even with that I just don't want to come back. First of all, scanning your card takes a long time so it's frustrating and you don't actually know if it's taken it or not. Then you might not actually know what you're doing and then it's over. The games go VERY quick. If they work, cool, if they don't, well it won't be fixed soon. There was virtually no staff and some really little kids were running all over and I had to stop a number from stealing my kid's game as he was about to play after the credit took. Balls/rings for games are being taken by kids and shoved into other games. Back to the games.... I am aware arcade games are rigged to make you want to keep trying, but these are so obvious it's discouraging. The conveyer belts to return balls are painfully slow, the high scores for jackpots are entirely unobtainable (I know because I was perfect on a couple and didn't get halfway), the balloon that you try to pop VISIBLY deflates between games... Come on. Broken buttons, jammed equipment... The works. But then you play the game, did great, and you want tickets? The average ticket reward is 2-6 tickets and each game basically is $1. After 1hr of playing, my kid walked out with a plastic slinky and a finger puppet. That's what $30 gets you. It's just not worth it, there's better options. $30 for the hour sounded good at first but it doesn't...
Read moreWe went there this past Friday for my daughter’s birthday. A lot of the machines were not dispersing tickets. One of the fountain drinks was not dispersing the syrup only water. The air hockey game still quits working in the middle of a game. The staff was extremely rude including what appeared to be a manger. When Chuck E came out for his dance a worker left Chuck E hanging for over 2 minutes after the dance without tickets for his ticket splash. She didn’t say a word and looked like she hated her job when she handed him the tickets. Both machines designed to allow you to reload pay passes were malfunctioning;when I went to the desk to have the staff reload the card at the register, the manager greeted me by saying “What do you want?!” What I want is for your newly upgraded and remodeled machines and facilities to work but when they don’t I want you to provide the customer service you are paid to provide. Poor customer experience = decrease in sales = cut in hours and pay or even layoffs. Without happy customers there is no income which means no $$$ to pay employees. This place did not get much of a facelift other than they upgraded booths and carpet. The machines and staff are still broken for the most part. It is such a shame because this used to be such a wonderful experience for children. I guess those...
