I really wanted to give ZERO stars. I tried the city market location. I had the hot chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. I could already tell from the smell of the food that it was not going to be good. If it doesn't smell good it's probably not going to taste good. For starters, the mac and cheese (which they only give you a small SCOOP of) was made with no love at all...tastes like box mac and cheese made by a teenager with no effort and it was COLD. The sandwich was dry which I've never had Nashville hot chicken that was dry before. The flavor was GROSS. The bun was stale and hard.. the chicken was COLD. You could tell nothing was made fresh and that whoever made it has no idea what good cooking/BBQ is. I am so upset I spent almost $9.00 to only have to throw it away. I do not recommend trying the hot chicken sandwich or mac and cheese from Gomez BBQ. That was my first and last time going there. Highly disappointed. I wish I could have my money back...I don't have money to just throw away. My...
Read moreNo stars for service, leading to frightful atmosphere. My boyfriend and I decided to try a new place to dine after church and were interested in this restaurant due to its circulation on Groupon. In walking in, the cashier was unwelcoming and visibly angry we were Groupon customers. He went on to slam the menu down on the brunch side after we attempted to order a pulled pork sandwich that drew us in from the Groupon photo. I went on to ask the cashier what he'd recommend to try, and he vouched for the brisket breakfast sandwich. After my boyfriend returned from the restroom, he was excited to see they offered breakfast and stated "thats dope!" the server then replied angrily, "what you say?!" continuing his scary, dead stare looks. We then decided to leave and request our money back from Groupon; horrified at the terrible experience we received just trying to order. We pray the server and the institution learn to be more welcoming and less...
Read moreWe live within walking distance of this place (the 10th & Rural location) and saw it mentioned on Facebook a few times so decided to check it out. We came in at like 10am for breakfast and ordered the breakfast quesadilla x2 , dulce leches iced latte and an iced americano.
My iced coffee was FIRE - I love dolce and never would’ve thought to use it to sweeten my coffee. It’s sooo good. The quesadillas were BOMB - the perfect cheese to chorizo combo AND its Smokey tasting. Huge fan. Affordable. Good portion too.
Great customer service, friendly. And she gave us info to come back this weekend for what sounds like a killer breakfast menu (brisket biscuits and gravy, waffles). It’s a small place, cute atmosphere. Good brews on tap too (the blood Orange IPA sounds awesome, same with the Mexican Hot Cocoa)
10/10 recommend, we...
