Owned by a lovely couple, Davinder and aarti, this mom n pop Indian restaurant is a must visit for their delectable food. Visited for lunch . The menu is not very long but includes all the typical Indian dishes as well as some unique choices like punjabi bhaji. The onion kulcha and garlic Naan were scrumptious. The size of samosas was small but tge taste was yumm.. For dessert , we tried their gulab jamun and kheer, which both were delicious. My friend didn't care for the kheer, probably because it wasn't as thick. The interior could use some warmth. Also I ordered mutton curry to go, it came with small order of rice (I didn't ask for nor was it specified in the description) I feel the price for the quantity wasn't justified. 10 on 10 for hospitality and taste. Also some confusion about the buffet, where online I read they have one ....but actually dont.

What are the best restaurant in Indianapolis ?🤷🏾‍♂️ We are still looking for the answer to this one perplexing question. It's time for a pickup. Amazing warm cuisine with a wonderful aroma, as well as a polite and accommodating host. Our community considers this business to be a great treasure. 👀 Quiet, simple storefront serves traditional Indian plates with beer & wine, plus a lunch buffet. Worst food and cooking hygiene. Had a real bad experience with this restaurant. The vegetable platter had hair, the rice had steel pieces as seen in the picture. The puri was made using multiple times reused oil which came along the most improperly cooked chickpea ever. At last I ordered tea which had stale milk smell looks like it was prepared a day before. Please think before choosing this Indian restaurant. P.S. :- Based on the below response from restaurant, I have a question why would anyone lie about finding hair in the food. Please work on kitchen hygiene along with cooking skills. Thanks

Food is ok to good. I ordered Lamb palak along with a few other items. When I arrived to pick up the food, the gentleman was apologetic and informed us of the issue. They had made lamb curry instead. We had also ordered chicken curry, chicken Tikka, and palak paneer as take out.

This is where the issue became a problem. Instead of offering any remedy to the issue, the gentleman started off by saying "well, you also have palak paneer, so you have the spinach you wanted" to that I responded "it's not the same as I ordered lamb palak not, lamb curry and palak paneer." After going a couple rounds on why THEIR mistake was not a big issue, because having palak paneer with lamb curry was like having the lamb palaki originally ordered, only then did he offer a remedy, stating they could make what we ordered and that it would only take 5 min. SERIOUSLY? 1. Why was this an issue then?! When I decided that I wanted what I really ordered... surprise surprise, the gentleman snatched the lamb curry away and later brought out the ordered dish. No sorry or anything. That food is not good enough to return for that terrible...

This is honestly one of the very few times I’ve tasted love with the food I order in a restaurant. The foos that I ordered was the chicken tikka masala, samosas, and the hut for an appetizer. Everything tasted amazing and it’s the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The customer service was 100/10 and the owners are so sweet. The owner was so transparent about the freshness of ingredients, he showed me his kitchen and storage room and I can say it’s very clean and the food being served is coming from fresh ingredients. He doesn’t use any food coloring at all to alter the appearance of the food. My bestie and I ordered a bunch of food and was worth the price in my opinion. I was completely gawking at how my food tasted and was in disbelief the entire time. The freshness & creaminess of the chicken tikka masala was just amazing. If you’re wondering where the best Indian food is and want to have a date night or even a family night…look no further because Indian Hut is exactly where you should be. Go try it out & I promise you won’t be disappointed. This is the...

I order in from here all the time, but we decided to come into the restaurant to patronize this little shop in person because of the service. A while ago, I called to order in the tandoori chicken from here because I was craving it, and it was so good that the next week, I called to order again. The person who picked up the phone took my order and said “oh I remember you! you ordered this last week- I have to tell you, I appreciate my customers so much” that’s when I knew I was patronizing a business that I felt good supporting: kind and hardworking people.

First off, the tandoori chicken is some of the yummiest in the city- they make it fresh every time, so it takes some time, but is well worth the wait. Secondly, the inside is so quaint and charming, and finally, the service is so kind and sincere.

I highly recommend you try this restaurant, not just as a takeout spot but as your weeknight date or girls dinner. I would hate to see this place not get the recognition...
