How about an exquisite walking space with clean, airy interiors when it’s raining non stop? The newly opened Broad Ripple Park Family Center was an answer to my bad weather, no food, good movement type of meeting with my colleague. Info: you do not have to pay for walking in the BRP Family Center - only register and add your emergency contact. I spent about an hour walking on the 2nd floor and a lot of guests came in to use the Pickle ball court while we walked. The space also houses a basketball court, rooms for yoga and birthdays and a lovely kids area. The restrooms and the entire area are spotlessly clean and so airy. One of the rooms gives you a beautiful view of White river which created this completely meditative vibe. The family center is sponsored by Community Health Network and I love the promotion of well-being and health. Definitely check the space out for more info,

Came here to use the gym for the first time. Brought my yoga mat and since there was no group class I was able to use this amazing room . I was also able to use the hand weights which was so kind because I thought they would have weight machines. The basketball court is always busy. This is a great addition to broad ripple park and definitely needed.

I use the family center for the group fitness rooms for my yoga flows and I absolutely love it. The big bay windows facing the river make for such a serene setting.

The track policies of this entity are age discriminatory and not in tune with the needs of real families and parents in the trenches. Visitors: be aware that children and babies under 9 cannot use the walking track in any capacity. Also, no strollers permitted on the track. I’m not sure what their policy is for other devices that aid in mobility like walkers, rollators, canes, crutches, and wheelchairs. I really hope those are permitted but maybe they aren’t either? The YMCA is a good alternative or outside (but the day I went was very wet and rainy and cold). I was looking forward to a good cardio workout several weeks ago with my infant and my friend who has two younger boys. Sad that this place is isolating such a large segment of the population that would really benefit from such a gorgeous facility. I was grateful for the explanation from staff about why this policy is this way (several seniors have been injured and hospitalized by children on the track they said), but I disagree strongly with it. Children need opportunities to learn how to be involved and behave in social settings, not be barred from...

I Went there due to Basketball leagues playing at the YMCA and Ms.Christy Was Very discriminating (mind you this is my first time there) She came in and tried to kick me out of the gym over an unopened Gatorade bottle (mind you others had beverages in the gym) I let her know I had a medical condition that I need a drink I was told that she didn’t care and that etheir I leave for 10 min or everyone leaves after me just getting frustrated my friends all 18+ was just like do it and in order to comply I did so and then the whole time I was playing in the basketball gym she and other staff member made me very uncomfortable as they kept walking around staring me down all around 0/10 experience the people that where there to play and exercise was nice but the staff and the demeanor they carry themself in made me very reluctant to come back I’ll just stick...
