Had the worst service I've ever had at this location this evening. Server took ten minutes to even come to our table. When she finally did, informed us pizza would take about 30 minutes. Ten minutes later haven't received my CANNED drink. Response, oops, that's on me. Salad was also incorrect/missing toppings. Given an excuse by another employee that they were training new kitchen people. 45 minutes later and I ask about the pizza we ordered. The table next to ours that had been seated fifteen minutes after us had their pizza or before ours. Asked server about the wait. "I told you it was going to be 30 minutes". Yeah, and it's been 45. Completely nonchalant. She seemed completely disinterested in serving us, which is exactly how she was the last time she waited on me. I really can't believe that she still has this job when she can't be bothered to check in on tables and give a heads up on what's happening in the kitchen. Our water glasses were never refilled, the absolute least that she could have taken care of. I usually tip at least 30% because I know how hard servers usually work. Tonight she got less than ten. A couple of heartfelt or at least faked apologies would have gone a long way to making this evening tolerable. Read moreTonight I have to mention the woman at the carryout payment station who is there every time that I pickup. Nearly every weekend. Tonight I watched her, for the second time that I'm aware of, check my order and send it back to the kitchen to be corrected before handing it to me. Just awesome attention to the customers and management of your coworkers young lady! And thanks!
Also, to the kitchen; the large, welldone, 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 margarita add red sauce with a side of anchovies is always great! You guys are great! And the one you made tonight was excellent. You guys are so good that I bet if I ever asked, you would be able to lessen the welldone on one half. Not that I would ever ask. But I know I was able to do that for customers with the ovens on Mass Ave. Regardless of the business flow. Like you, we were just that good.
I've been enjoying Bazbaoux Pizza since the spring of '87. They have always maintained fresh, courteous and attentive service. I appreciate that the food is nutritious not "fast". Read moreThis is hands down my favorite pizza joint in the city. They always have friendly and attentive staff. Just the smell when you walk in of those pizza ovens... I love how they're able to obtain that perfect crust, just a little bit of char without any carbon like taste. My favorite pizzas are the Quattro and the Luke. Those ricotta chunks in the Quattro just set off a huge flavor burst. And the Luke - great bleu cheese that doesn't overpower, the shredded buffalo chicken.. It's like eating your wings and a pizza at the same time. And it's a delicious combination. I do wihs they'd chop the celery a little smaller, the only inconsistency with their pizza there. I really enjoy this place. Having an outdoor patio so you can enjoy the weather and people watch too is great. Almost forgot about their crab salad...
