This is probably the slowest Jimmy Johns in the city. I order for pickup probably a couple times a month and I don't think my order has ever been ready when and made when I arrived.
What's the point of ordering ahead if you don't start making my order until I show up, stand in line and tell you like everyone else? I might as well just give you my order in person. I order "ASAP", it's prepaid every time, and it's never ready no matter how busy they are. It's typically dead when I arrive, but it doesn't matter if I arrive 10, 15, or 20 minutes after the order is placed. My order is not ready.
Lastly, my order has been wrong too often. I order ahead and place my customizations just for them to not read the ticket, so I'm not even waiting extra time because they're taking their time to be correct. (Sometimes it's wrong because the sandwich is just wrong, so they don't even get the base sandwich right). This is only worse when I order paid additions. I paid for my bacon but didn't even get it. I'd be understanding of mistakes if I had large or complicated orders, but I'm just ordering 1 sandwich.
So I order ahead via app just to stand in line and wait for my sandwich to be ready. But if I don't unwrap my sandwich and check it for everything, I'll find something is missing when I'm already home. I gotta unwrap it, open the sandwich up and peel back every layer to make sure it's all there. Ordering ahead is pointless. Putting in my customizations is pointless. Taking it home without deconstructing it in store is pointless. Sounds like they don't want me to use the order ahead feature at all, which I thought was supposed to save my time and their time.
Never had any issues doing pickup from the app/website at any other Jimmy Johns (Glendale/Castleton/Circle Center/etc) . I thought they were all locked in like that but that is incorrect, apparently. Don't think I've ever had an error ever before and I'm lucky if I have a good time at this location more than 50%...
Read moreI placed a delivery order on Friday that I never received. The delivery driver told me to contact the store, provided me the number so they could void the sale and I can get refunded. I called the store, they told me it was voided by the manager on duty on Friday. I asked him for proof of the void, a receipt and to have it sent to my email. Never received a email. Contacted them back again Friday. He emailed me an original receipt not the receipt that my transaction was voided. Fast forward today, the transaction was posted, no refund and they charged for the tip for the delivery on an order I never received! I called the store 08/07 and spoke with Davon who was extremely rude. He was also the manager. Hung the phone up on us, refused to provide his name and stated he would not help us. He asked for our number 6 times and got annoyed that we asked if he could hear us. He then said he would have to void the sale because it was never done. We knew his name because his employee was calling him after he hung on us 3 times and refused service, refused his contact info as well. Very unprofessional. Based on the comments, this location is getting over on people. He also threatened to put me on a list of people who can’t order Jimmy John’s again because I was trying to get my issue resolved. I will be contacting the DM and getting this situation rectified....
Read moreOn Thursday June 16th I placed an order online at 8:45 p.m.They don't close until 9 so I figured it would not be a problem since they claim to be "freaky fast". I arrived to the store at 8:48 p.m. and was approached by a man at the door that said they were closed and I told him I had an online order and he let me in. The extremely rude man tall black man at the register said, "We're closed!" I told of an online order and he said, "No, we canceled that. You're not getting it." Then he said goodbye very harshly. I started to ask him a question and he cut me off and said "good-bye!" again. I asked the question anyway and I wanted to know if I was going to get my loyalty points back. I got a free sandwich for my birthday and I redeemed it for this order. I did not get my reward back so I basically lost my birthday sandwich. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I will never return to this location. And I would highly recommend that nobody else goes there. I've lost my taste for Jimmy John's and I may not ever return to any of the locations because of such bad experience from this mean black man at the register. He told me his name but I already forgot it because he was basically a nobody. Do yourself a favor and choose another location if you really want Jimmy Johns. 21st and Shadeland...
