King's Wok — Restaurant in Indianapolis

So this is my go to place for my Chinese food and it’s always fresh and made to order. I’ve never had a problem until April 20, 2024. I placed my order at 9:30 PM. I ordered a large shrimp, fried rice and three shrimp eggrolls. By the time I made it home the store was closed only to discover my rice being hard and stale. I then called the very next day because they were closed by the time I made it home to let them know that I usually love their food but last night the food was not good immediately the manager gave me attitude and said they cannot replace it, but he could replace it with a small I would need to bring in what was left over. Which is fine if he didn’t start off with the attitude and say I’m really not supposed to do this for you since you ate the rice. This is the type of customer service that I hate. You are giving me a small solution with an attitude instead of apologizing and making it right in addition to that you want me to bring in rice from the next day ( I still have the rice) that is poor customer, service, and very low level, thinking that someone needs to travel...

As an independent diversity auditor of African-American descent, I noticed people Of color are greeted totally different as opposed to the Caucasian counterpart or other ethnicities. I also personally observed constantly being watched as if I were going to leave the restaurant without paying. I had chicken fried rice, which was very delicious season well, very moist and not dry. I like most of the food but the staff that takes orders are rude. The food is not always fixed the same way, they change how things are made and the taste is not what you were expecting. For example I placed an order this weekend and specifically asked if the steamed pork dumplings were in fact pork dumplings because several times I have received chicken pot stickers. They assured me that this was pork dumplings but when my food arrived it was not pork but instead they served chicken pot stickers and tried to call them pork steamed dumplings.
