Good evening QDOBA on 86th and Michigan. You have lost yet another customer from this location. Please drive and extra five minutes to a better location, save yourself time and grief over portion size or lack of chip with an order of three cheese nachos.
Walked in at 5:40pm and I was the only customer in the lobby and a employee wiping down tables. I waited patiently as the person wiped down all the tables and then the drink machine before thinking about walking over to take my order. I go through the process of ordering and get to the cash register to pay. She hands me a very small bag of chips with the nachos I had ordered. She said they had reduced the amount and if I had not ordered the chips on the side, that there would be less. Any more chips would be $2.00. Either they ran out of QDOBA chip bags or they changed packaging and reduced the bag size by 70%. I had given QDOBA a two star at the start of the review and the more I thought about the entire encounter a little while ago it has become a Zero. Which is a one on a Google review. I really hope this location gets new help or management because I used to eat here about thirty times a year.
Then it come time to pay and they ask me to hit a button on the credit card swipe machine for a tip. Excuse me... Had to hit 10% because there was not a Zero. Also the reason for taking the time to write a review about a bad QDOBA location. Next time this happens I will simply tell them no thank you at the cash register after ordering food like seen in other videos about protesting this establishment. You can also tell when employees do not care much about their job which reflects on businesses. I do not know about everyone else but I can spend the money I work hard for somewhere else.
If you would like to spend the same amount on the most amazing Mexican restaurant check out my review on Luciana's Mexican Restaurant. 5910 W 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46278 Luciana's is five stars all day every day with the best service out there. I'm impressed every time I eat at Luciana's. You would want to thank me if you have not...
Read moreOrdered online for inside pick up. Got confirmatory email immediately. Drove to restaurant, but doors locked (just after 5pm) with a paper stuck to it stating they were only filling online orders and to call them when you arrived; they would bring it out. No phone number, of course. I stood in front of doors, searched my phone, called them and told the guy who answered I was here to pick up my order but the door was locked. Was told someone would bring it to me "when it is ready". Ok, I walked back to my truck (which was parked in a curbside order pick up spot in front of the doors) and waited. And waited. And waited. At no point did anyone come out of the restaurant. No one called me. Nothing. Multiple customers unknowingly stopped and tried to enter as I sat there for over 30 minutes waiting, but of course the doors were locked. Finally a customer managed to get an employee to come to the other exit; I got out of my vehicle and waited for them to finish talking then asked about my order. Turns out it was finished the whole time, "but I didn't know which car you were in." He hadn't asked that question. He then got snippy and said I'd hung up after telling him I was there. Which I had. They created this situation by locking the doors and having no established routine for picking up the orders. Any other place I've had take out sends me a text with instructions and some even have you enter the spot number you're waiting at so they can bring it to you directly. They knew I was there, but no one bothered to come out and check. They could have called me back; they have my info and I've been called by Qdoba locations when they don't have a certain ingredient and want to check about substitutions. This location is closest to my house, but they've seen the last of me and my money. I even had given them a tip on the order. Highly...
Read moreThis location has gone down drastically. They never are open, aren't accepting some form of payment, and today they flat out said they were out of food. Just out of food. I get shortages, but maybe this location should just close it's doors.
Update So I was at the Qdoba at Trader's Point on 7/29 with my 8yo son. I walk in and the employee sitting down at a table tells me there is no food. None at all. I ask when they thought they would have more since we were willing to wait..10min?..15? She said longer than that, because there was no manager there to speak with (she said they quit earlier in the week) and so my son and I leave and get in our car parked rightin front of the store.
Almost immediately, two separate white families walk in and I think oh they'll be turned away too. Nope. Both were served.
I go back in and the white employee who told me they had no food is now, less than 5 minutes later, standing over a mostly stocked counter and telling me she meant they were low on meat. I obviously recounted our interaction asking why my family was turned away, but others were served. She refused to answer me and turned to who she now says was the manager. The manager, who I can see cutting chicken in the back, refuses to turn around to speak with me. When I call this out he immediately says he won't engage me and calls the police. I stay and sure enough 2 police officers come and escort me out, while the employees continue to serve other customers. Obviously, I'll never return to the establishment. I hate that my 8 year old had to experience not just the racial discrimination, but the use of police to enforce the racism. Shame on Qdoba as there was no one I could contact in the moment to express my concern as at 5pm the customer service was closed and the employees refused to give contact information...
