The place is a sports bar and it looks fine so I walked in to have a nice lunch experience at least that's what I wanted to have. Now EXACTLY what happened. I tried to inquire about the menu from the waitress (the manager knows her name, I think mimi) but she only knew a few items only and didn't know much about the menu. I placed my order and asked specifically for the salad to come first and SEPERATE so I could eat the salad first then AFTERWARDS get the main entree so that it would be *WARM as most people like to eat warm/hot food not lukewarm or cold food! i also told her NO CUCUMBERS on the salad. she brought out the salad and after I took 2 bites of the salad, she brought out the main entree.... well, the salad had cucumber so she didn't listen and then she brought out the main entree right away and right after I started to eat my salad. I told her that I had asked for the main entree to come out after I finished my salad so that it would be warm and she said "well that's the way it comes" and didn't offer to keep or warm the food or anything and just shrugged her shoulders then walked away with an attitude then I could hear her over at the bar! trying to excuse her inexcusable actions. Unbelievable. I asked for a manager and he apologized and after I told him I wasn't going to come back, he offered a $10 coupon to use the Next Time I come back....after I had just told him I wasn't coming back. he then offered to remake my main entree which was something and some effort then seeing how bad the situation was, he took over my table. I showed him the cucumber in the salad also telling him I had told her no cucumbers. in the end, he tried, but no discount on the meal or maybe a comp drink for the trouble. then he came to my table and rather than leaving the check so that I can take my time to pay it, he came to collect money for the meal BUT I STILL HAD FOOD to eat in my bowl but I guess he was ready to get this over with and I told myself, screw it, I want to get this over with and get out of here because the experience was Horrible and I paid him then finished my food. what a great experience. .... but he tried. I hope the owner sees this so they know that they got good friendly bartenders and a nice bar but they need to fine tune some of the people working there and how they handle...
Read moreOk. We knew it would be crazy going here for game 7 of the Finals last night. I got there at 5:30 and went up and told the hosts that I was there for the game and meeting friends and asked if I could have a table near the TVs for the game. They said yes and walked me to a table. After that I guess they decided to not seat until 6:30 for the game. It said that literally no where and no one said anything to us. Right at 6:30 our waitress accused us of “sneaking in and getting a table before everyone else” even though she had been helping us for an hour already. Shortly after that the manager on duty also accused us of sneaking in before they were seating and asked us to move to move our table to sit a large party, which we politely declined since we had been there for an hour and liked the seats. Anyways the food and drinks were good and I love all Sahms locations, will probably return to this one but only sit at the bar as we normally do. Just sucked being berated numerous times for “sneaking in” and being made to feel like we were not wanted there when we were just sitting in a corner trying to...
Read moreCan’t say enough good things about this place! I’ve always loved Sahm’s food so I was very excited when they opened up in Irvington. The food is just as delicious as the other locations and my favorite is the Malibu Melt. The vibe is laid back and friendly and the service is fantastic!! Our server Jason was excellent!! He is our favorite and we always try to get a seat in his section. He never misses a beat, is very attentive and has a great sense of humor which has us laughing the entire time. The entire team is great and management runs that place like a well oiled machine. The food is always fast, tasty and generously portioned. It seriously is one of the most enjoyable places to hang out and watch a game or just enjoy a good meal with friends or family. Even if you’re by yourself, the vibe here is so neighborly that you’ll likely end up making some new friends. It’s quickly become a staple of the Irvington community and something I look forward to at a minimum of...
