Shady's Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in Indianapolis

In all honesty this is a local place that should be given a try. Food, drinks, atmosphere are good. Not over the top but exactly what you would expect at a local place. We were here on Friday, 14NOV2025 and had Mac & Cheese wedges as an appetizer. They were good. We had the blue cheese bacon burger and it was good. We also got a buffalo chicken sandwich which was good. Was it over the top? No, but it was good. The 3% charge others have mentioned is of you use your credit card to pay. If you come here, bring cash and that isn't going to affect you. Friday's and Saturday's there is a DJ and/or Karaoke at 21:00/9:00 pm. All in all, you should make your own decision on the place. If it for you, great. If not, great. We enjoyed ourselves. Our server Monica (spelling?) Was attentive and checked in frequently. The crowd picked up around 20:45/8:45 pm for karaoke but it wasn't overly crowded. There is a Golden Tee type game and 2 dart board...

Just left Shadys was not impressed at all. First we are seated and waiting to be served while the waitress was helping people that walked in after us. Not a good way to start. Once our food showed up it wasn't great at all. I had a hot ham and Swiss and it was so dry I couldn't even eat half of it. My husband's tenderloin was below average and his coleslaw tasted like strong vinegar and was runny leaving a weird aftertaste in your mouth. You'll have to do a hell of a lot better to get me back in there. Back to The Grill I go where I know the food is...

Horrible customer service, I go in to pick up an order, I’m just standing there while a lady is on the register pretending that she does not see me, and then here comes a Second Lady that walks past me to get on a register and don’t say anything either, I say hi I’m here for a pickup, get the order, look at my receipt and I’m charged an extra 3%, no it’s not much but FOR WHAT?????? I would probably still be standing there if I didn’t...
