My family came here for a special occasion, and we were extremely disappointed with the disorderly service, which significantly reduced our enjoyment of the food and the whole experience. The restaurant was mostly empty and there did not appear to be a shortage of staff. Our waitress, when she was around, was extremely polite and expressed every intention to be helpful, but the service was markedly slow and we received infrequent attention by several different staff members who evidently did not communicate with each other. The orders came out with odd timing and several mistakes: our appetizer made its way to us about half an hour after we'd ordered, and about half an hour after that a Caesar salad arrived (we assumed, based on its moderate size and lack of chicken, that it was a side salad for one of our dishes but weren't sure and spent a while waiting for other dishes to arrive to identify it. Eventually it was eaten by the person who had requested the side Caesar, but we discovered only when the other entrées arrived that it had actually been intended as another person's dinner salad), and then all the other entrées arrived at least half an hour after the salad with several mistakes (wrong side salad, cheese melted onto a sandwich that was requested explicitly without cheese, missing toppings, and more) that we did not bother to correct, as we had no expectation that they could be managed in a timely (or correct) fashion. Because of the salad snafu we ordered another salad, which the waitress assured us could be done very quickly, but we finished eating and had shared several portions of other entrees with the salad-less party member, AND tracked down the host at the door to request our bill, before our waitress came by and we could ask about the accursed salad. We asked to take it to go, if it had already been made, or else we wished to cancel it. Our requested bill never showed up. Our waitress returned ten minutes later with a just-made to-go salad (we had a view into the kitchen and could see when it finally happened; this time it had chicken on it), and she asked if we wanted the bill. She did not charge for the to-go salad, which was about the only thing to go right.
The dishes I tried were flavorful and well made, though incorrect. One of our party particularly enjoyed the strawberry lemonade made with...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I decided to come here after we tried to go to iHop, but it looked closed. We saw TGI Friday's was right across the parking lot, I looked up the menu and saw they have a "GF beyond burger", So we decided to go. Big mistake. The server came immediately after we were sat, interrupting our conversation and pressured us to order drinks. He watched us as we looked at the menu, I asked for a minute so we didn't waste his time. When he came back, we ordered the passion fruit and tropical teas, he said that it would take a minute because they were brewing fresh tea. We said that was okay, and he brought us waters while we waited. I asked him if they had the gluten-free bun like the menu said, he said that it might be the beyond burger without the bun. I told him that would be alright. My girlfriend ordered the cajun shrimp and chicken pasta. When he brought the tea, it was regular sweet tea, and warm. it was so sweet, my girlfriend had to water hers down. We didn't want to say anything, so we drank them while we waited for our appetizer. While we waited my girlfriend whispered to me that there was another server that kept watching us and giving us bad looks when she wasn't busy, it made her extremely uncomfortable. Our server came back with our actual order of tea, and explained he got the sweet teas while the bartender was busy, we thanked him. I notice now we were charged for the teas we never ordered. Everything looked pretty good, although the patty on my burger was very bland, and I had to put salt on it. It also came with a bun, which I assumed was gluten-free so I ate about half, and my girlfriend had about two bites of her pasta before we left because she wasn't feeling well. When we got home, she started throwing up. Two bites of the shrimp and chicken pasta and she now has food poising. An hour later I started having an allergic reaction and nausea myself because I believe I was served a bun that was NOT gluten free and I have a pretty bad gluten allergy. The server obviously had no clue about the gluten-free options, although the menu said different. Do not go here if you have any food allergies or you know, don't want food poising. As a restaurant manager I know there's no good reason this should ever happen. Please train staff on the allergy friendly menu, temp the food before...
Read moreI think they they took something s1 didn't finish eating, heated it up, & served it 2 me.The only gr8 thing about this place is the pleasant waiters & hostess. That's it! Our refills were incorrect & had 2 be sent back but 1st we had 2 ask a different waiter bc ours was never around but quite pleasant when taking our order & giving us our bill. Practically the only ones in the restaurant but took 4ever 2 get our food. I ordered the sirloin steak & when I received the entire table went silent & even the waiter (not our reg. 1) went 2 put the plate down & stopped. E1 looked at ea other & I asked him that's supposed to be my steak. He replied it doesn't look right do u want me to take it back & have them make u another & I said yes. Now I'm not exaggerating when I say it was 1/4 the size of my mashed potatoes portion. It was put on a coffee cup saucer & was lost (NOT EXAGGERATED)I weigh 100lbs & it was lost in the palm of my hand.NO JOKING!! It looked like something s1 left over on their plate & they took it & reheated it & served it 2 me.Moments later he brought it back & said he was told that it was correct did I want 2 keep it or or order something different. I replied just leave it but know I'm not happy. I ordered a steak & didn't get 1. Again moments later the waiter returned (not ours) & the manager & said she heard I was unhappy w/my steak. I said yes look at it it's not a steak. She asked what I was wanting & I said a steak. She said what do u mean by steak? I said a steak an American steak. She said well we don't have T-Bones & I said I know but i ordered a sirloin and this is not a sirloin. She said it was but she cld take in the back & "butterfly " it 4 me 2 make it look bigger if I wanted. LMAO I'm thinking 2 myself u r joking right u did not just suggest that. I said just 4get it. Leave it. She comes back later 2 tell us she took $6 off bc of it. We had 2 wave down the poor waiter that brought out the food & fixed the refill problems 4 a 2 go box & bill. Shortly after our waiter reappeared lmao. WE'LL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN WE'LL EAT AT CHILI'S 2 DOORS DOWN-I BET THEY KNOW WHAT...
