The Pub - Big Rock — Restaurant in Indio

This place is fantastic! From the food to the views to all the events that they host, it’s a place you must visit. We came across it when looking for somewhere to pre-party for Stagecoach and were blown away with what we found! This particular night they were hosting a kick-off party for Stagecoach and had a live band, drink specials, hair braiding station and were also giving away a VIP wristband for the festival, just wow! The energy was so fun and we just couldn’t believe we never knew about it. As we started to ask our server questions and started researching more, we realized that we’d been missing out on such a cool spot. A few of us ordered the specialty drinks with Garrison Bros Bourbon which were deelish and the others drank beer and some of their specialty drinks; Pink Panther and Rum Berry Smash. We shared some unique appies like the Martini Dip (came in a beautiful martini glass), dog pile (waffle fries with their house made beer cheese, diced hot dog, bacon, sour cream and onions), best Brussel sprouts ever, and Hawaiian poke nachos. I ordered a Thai Chicken Salad which was sooo good and one friend had the Sloppy Joe Grilled Cheese (a blast from the past) and another had the Cow Pile which is like a deconstructed smash burger without a bun, piled on tater tots. We all had a taste of each others food and loved everything. Sometimes at restaurants a food description looks good and then is disappointing when it arrives but here, they hit on all cylinders. Our server Alberto was so fun and professional and just topped off our great experience. We ate, we drank, we danced and laughed, a lot! Terrible Experience – Cut Off with No Warning While Others Were Over-Served!

I’m absolutely disgusted by how we were treated here. We came in, ordered food, and had four drinks each—nothing excessive, nothing disruptive. Suddenly, without any warning or explanation, we were cut off. No reason given, just an abrupt and completely unnecessary decision.

What makes it worse is that while we were being cut off, we saw other customers being blatantly over-served—loud, stumbling, and still getting drinks with no issue. So why were we singled out? It’s beyond unprofessional and completely unfair.

If there was a problem, they should have communicated like professionals instead of making us feel unwelcome for no reason. We were paying customers, enjoying our time, and were treated with complete disrespect.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values good service and fair treatment. Plenty of other places know how to treat their guests properly—this is NOT...

This Pub is freaking amazing! This was my husband and my first time and we were both very impressed by the food and atmosphere. We both couldn’t stop looking at all the amazing memorabilia they have all over the place. The food was super delicious. I ordered the Chicken Avocado sandwich.
