McDonald's — Restaurant in Iowa City

As someone who was a Kirkwood student who attended classes at the small campus just on the other side of the street, I visited this McDonald's a lot, both before and after the renovation. Overall, my experiences there have been mixed. Some times, the staff are great and the food arrives as expected and in the amount of time you would expect from the leading chain in fast food. Other times, the staff would behave like zombies, just occupying a space and shuffling around until the end of their shifts. I have found that the level of service a customer is given at this store varies. For example, most of the time if you order a soda, they will bring you the cup on your tray. Other times, it mysteriously won't be there, to which an inquiry is answered with "oh, just grab one," as if it is normal for a customer to just take a cup from behind the register. A similar, but less irritating variation is whether or not a straw is brought to you if you ordered a dessert item. However, these occur rarely. Most of the time, the staff is very friendly and happy to help if there are any problems with an order. My last point might seem petty, but I wish that they kept the retro 50's diner look that the location...

People that work at fast food complain they need a living wage why don't they get an education. Or they can make a living. These people at this McDonald's should not even get paid. They are dumb as a box of rocks the stupidest morons I've ever seen. I order extra crispy well done chicken nuggets that come soggy mushy I would have well done french fries large they come soggy mushy I ordered two cheeseburgers with well done fries I don't even get them Tom I turned around 2 miles down the road cuz I noticed my food was not right I go back to get a refund cuz it says it takes 4 minutes to make well done fries you know what that's already 10 minutes into my getting my food so everything is going to be cold. Then I ask a refund they give me a partial refund I get back out in my vehicle and I'll hook it with a charged me on my credit card so I have to go back in and get the remaining amount of money. I have encountered the rudest employees at this McDonald while ordering with my step daughter and her mom when we ordered no one ask us for help for about more then 10 minutes My Lady and step daughter have been coming home upset from the rudest of the woman managers or employees and lower muscatine Road McDonald’s in Iowa city Iowa she describe one as real heavy caucasian woman with glasses and a blonde ponytail ran up in her face in front of her six-year-old daughter The other one was African-American with braids in her hair and kind of muscular build in the face, yelled at her in front of her daughter, and told her to take care of her child and then they would not serve her anymore because she responded to the employee saying something to her six year old child about a cup and they got her order wrong again more then once and they could not use the bathroom because all three toilets were broken and out of order.
