I went in store to order and there were many people inside. The manager was yelling out names of mobile orders and stated they had received 70 mobile orders. I asked the person taking my order if I had to wait for all of those orders and was assured they prioritized walk ins. 30 min later I asked again about my order and was told by a cranky blonde that I would have to check in at the end of the counter. Check in? After placing my order in store? Then I asked and was told another 5-10 min. After 10 min I again asked because at this point I had been waiting 40 min. The manager said another 10 min and when I told her that is what she said 10 min ago she said" you can get a refund at the end of the counter" Is this how Starbucks managers now talk to customers? No offer to move my drink up or offer me a regular coffee, anything to help. When I then asked why she didn't turn off the mobile order she said "It's policy to keep it on" So the Starbucks manager would rather run her employees into the ground, and be curt to customers instead of turning off the mobile order? After receiving that many orders? What kind of person do you have managing this store? This is one of two close Starbucks to the University of Iowa and is always busy but this was just unacceptable with people getting refunds and walking out one after another. I've been a customer for many, many years and the way this manager treated me, well, lets just say I will not be going back to this store...
Read moreThe owner does realize it's a iowa code violation to be open without toilet paper in the restrooms.... Like Walmart or Hy-Vee opens at 6 am. At 8 am I got my order and while waiting a guest told employee to which the employee responded with "yea I know we are out of toilet paper" I get late deliveries happen but at the very least for the love of humanity go buy some toilet paper you're actively putting guests at risk regardless of soap and water. But hey what do I know I was only a chef for 13 years.... Also 100% sure that's in the servsafe or any other food service certification course which means you're being negligent with the safety of your guests. Toilet paper is cheap and dollar general is also right across the parking lot. Do better if not for yourself for the safety of the community in which you serve. It is fall temperatures are falling and sicknesses are up be mindful of your sanitary products I mean it's literally in the name of the items "sanitary". It's not a choice. It is morally impeccable to keep these products on hand or the very minimum go buy some. You don't just run out of toilet paper one day which I'm inclined to believe who ever orders your sanitary products needs to be re-evaluated not only in their position but their food safety...

I always get the Brown Sugar oatmilk shaken espresso, however they never make it right, it is never like the photo… mind you I also work at starbucks in my hometown. Today, I decided to confront the person that was handing me my drink at the drive through and they simply said “next time ask for less ice”… actually it’s suppose to be made like the picture! MINE ALWAYS COME OUT BROWN! I told them to remake it and they just added more oatmilk… I am sorry but I felt a little disrespected… as if I didn’t know anything. Next time train them to have better service n definitely retrain them to make the shaken espressos because ALL of my friends complain about it.
