ALDI — Local services in Iowa City

My go to on the way home from the VA. Pleasant experience for years. Generally have most of my organic food preferences. Usually there’s something in the non-food section that’s helpful at a great price.

Like, a Homedics air purifier was featured. Compared on Amazon and other retailers. Best price at Aldi. Easy to get replacement filters mailed from Amazon & save 15% with my Sub and Save monthly delivery.

The staff are always polite and helpful.

Parking lot is typically bustling or people yet I’ve always had a spot waiting. Inside, the isles are wide and organized.

Recently self checkout is installed. Not my thing as I’m typically shopping for a month. Prefer having assistance. This said, for the few item folk this is a win.

I noticed the cashier will help if self check is stuck, too. Based on my observation of the first time I’ve seen the new system people moved along well like pro’s.

Aldi's is very convenient for quick stop shopping for almost everything you might need. They offer great prices on poultry and many produce items. The prices on milk and eggs varies from week to week, so stock up when you find a good buy. Bring your own bags or you can purchase some at the checkout. We enjoy shopping at Aldi's and many store brand items are just as good as name brand products. Experiment and you might be surprised how good some of these items are. Update.... Their produce has dramatically improved. I buy all my fruits and vegetables here. Great selection...

Awesome grocery store. We shop here all the time because it's fast, and especially now that they keep adding more of organic options. If I am presented with many different brands, I'll spend my time comparing the ingredient lists, size, price, etc., at Aldi, it's a no brainer, just grab the item and go, because there's only 1 brand of everything, and it's high quality. I also like that the store is smaller than typical grocery store. Much more manageable when I have to shop with 2 babies and a toddler in tow, or when I am in a hurry. Also, love their weekly...
