Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Irmo

25 dollars for 3 bagel and egg sandwiches, 1 bagel and cream cheese and 2 fountain drinks. The bagels are tiny, smaller then lenders bagels that cost 1.50 a pack at the grocery store and honestly... I would have rather had a pack of lenders bagels. I had an everything bagel sandwich which they served to all bagel sandwiches untoasted. I thought by default, the bagel would be toasted when made into an egg sandwich. Didnt think theyd serve me a raw bagel with cooked egg on it... bizarre. My bagel had little flavor besides salt , and I had an everything bagel which should be full of flavor.. the salt Crystal's on it were so big it felt like I was biting into sand bits and eating pure salt, all I could taste was doughy salt .. my husband had the cheesy hash brown bagel which neither tasted of cheese or hashbrowns , he had egg and cheese on his and they also served it untoasted . The only one who enjoyed the flavor was my daughter who had a blueberry bagel but even her at 100 pounds didn't get full off of the bagel , cause they are so tiny.. I grew up around authentic NY bagels and they are huge , not smaller then lenders. 25$ is awful steep for such a horrible and disappointing experince . We had been so excited to have real NY bagels again. I have no idea why this place has good reviews, I can only assume its because most local people dont know what NY bagels really are or suppsed to taste like. We will never...

Traveling from Ga with my mother in law & we needed to find a place to eat other than our normal choices. So did a quick search of the area & found this place. Walking up it smelled amazing. And there was already a line at 11 am. I'm standing in line while she goes to claim a table in the already small space. Lookin over the menu I was loving the place already. So standing behind the counter there are 2 workers. 1 is making an order to go. Another is working on another order but not one says a word & is looking everywhere but at me. "Sorry be with you in a moment" would've been great. So the GM comes up & the asks the person BEHIND me if they can take their order. My mouth dropped. It was then that the guy working on whatever actually says something to me to take my order. My MIL noticed as well. I get up to pay. Didnt want to cause a scene but mentioned something to the cashier about how much that upset me & he just smiled like he didnt hear me. I go sit down & our food comes 5 or so mins later. It looks & smells good bit I'm still upset. Its cut lopsided & if I didnt open it then half of my sandwich wouldnt have had a taste of bacon. We finished eating & were wanting to use the facilities before we got back on the road. No can do. The ladies was out of order. Try the mens... nope that was now out of order. The food was good but not good enough to come back to...

This is just about the only place to get a bagel in the area and we've consistently had issues with every order in the past few months. One point to make is any time I’ve gone in there, the workers have never seemed very friendly. They always seem impatient when we try to decide on what to get and I don’t think I’ve ever been smiled at once when I’ve gone into the store to order food.

We once ordered a few items including a simple toasted bagel with cream cheese to be delivered and got a plain toasted bagel with no cream cheese on the bagel or in the bag. Today we ordered with DoorDash and this time ordered the farmhouse sandwich, a cream cheese and lox toasted bagel as well as two coffees. Received the farmhouse sandwich (which felt undercooked) and the two coffees but no cream cheese and lox bagel. Contacted DoorDash who offered to refund the money or have it redelivered for free so opted to have it redelivered. Wouldn’t expect someone to screw up a one bagel order but lo and behold, when the food arrived it was untoasted when I requested for it to be toasted in the special instructions. I used to work at a bakery that sold bagels years ago and this really isn't that difficult of a job to do correctly. Not sure if we will continue getting food from here…...
