I am a regular here, patronizing 3ish times a week normally in the late evening. I decided I would get breakfast here today since they normally give decent service with a wait that is long but not unbearable. I always get the same thing when I come here and I have been getting it for the better part of a year now. For whatever reason, the drive thru attendant was very difficult. I did not want a large fry, but wanted a large drink. Every time I have come here in the past that has not been a problem. Today, they informed me that if I wanted a large drink I had to get a large fry. Luckily the default for chili is small, so I ask for a chili instead and they rang me up for a small one with my combo. After pulling around, paying for my food (the guy that took my payment was actually very pleasant unlike everyone else I dealt with), and waiting for my food for the prerequisite 15 minute wait this location always seems to have, they bring me the wrong drink, informing me that "we don't have any raspberry peach flavoring". Now I'm not sure if they were just lying to me because they were too lazy to press an extra button or if they were legitimately so incompetent that they don't know how to work their own POS system, but the lack of knowledge/manners/common decency of the employees has ensured I will no longer be patronizing this establishment during these business hours. I am seriously disappointed and legitimately surprised that I get better service in the middle of the night than I do in the morning. It makes no sense to me and I am coming up short when I try to think of a justification as to why. It may seem like this is all nit-picking, but that is the kind of service I expect when I purchase something. I don't want more than what I ask for and I especially don't want more than what I pay for. Hopefully the much older lady here that gave me this terrible service won't be here long and I will be able to eventually change this review OR perhaps she will learn how to properly do her job and not be just overall terrible to her customers. Either way, I'd steer clear of this place if you find yourself hungry in Irmo while the sun...
Read moreThis restaurant is disappointing to say the least. A month ago, I ordered the digital keychain for the free Jr Frosty and when I tried to use it, I was told that I needed to say what color the keychain was. When I informed the employee it was in my app and was digital, I was informed it was not valid until next year. A few days later, I was indeed able to use it for an online order. Nobody ever tells you about the app for rewards, and once when I showed the cashier my app, she angrily asked me "What's that?" When I informed her what it was, she begrudgingly scanned and never said another word to me. Earlier this month, the person handed me my drinks with the lids not fitted correctly and I had soda dripping on my arm after not even greeting me. I arrived home to find a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger with no burger patty. I had to drive back and wait in the drive thru line 30 minutes after nobody answered my phone calls for assistance. The person at the first window told me to tell someone at the second window. A shift manager must have heard because he came to the first window and told me he would fix my burger and bring it to the second window. An employee at the second window, a different person from the one I encountered the first time, seemed apologetic, but when I informed him that my food was home getting cold while I replaced that part of my son's meal, he just walked away. Another employee, probably someone on the grill, asked me if I ordered the burger that way. #1-if I did, wouldn't he have remembered it? #2-if I wanted a BLT, I would have gone to Sonic. #3-would I have wasted 30 minutes of my time waiting in line to have a patty placed on the burger if I ordered it without a burger patty? If the order was correct per my order, why waste part of my lunch break getting the order corrected? The employee attitudes are like dealing with a prison work release program and it needs to change if the restaurant sincerely wants to...
Read moreWe stopped thru for a quick bite to eat. The gentleman who answered the drive thru was short with his tone and impatient. Mid order a female comes on and finishes taking the order. We sat for quite some time with no one informing us that there would be a wait or what the extended wait was for. While we were waiting an employee was smoking but the entrance of the door and threw the but in front of my car. Another employee delivered food to a parked car while drinking a beverage and never returned inside but joined the other employee in front of the entrance door along with another person and started smoking again.
The only reason for mentioning this is because it is in poor taste to have multiple vehicles waiting extended periods for food while employees are outside the store's entrance. When your employees' customer service skills are lacking, it is simply unprofessional and not a good look.
When we got our food, we had to ask for silverware and napkins. We left thinking we had our food only to realize when were miles away the condiments for the baked potato were missing.
The only reason I took the time to write such a long review is because this was a new experience at this particular Wendy's. To be honest more happened than mentioned here but this was already too long. This (in my opinion) was one of the better ones in Columbia but this experience put a bad taste in my mouth. No...
