First timers and we were BLOWN AWAY .... by the food, the drinks, the staff, and the store itself. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with a sense of calm, fresh, earthy, boho vibes. You can smell the fresh coffee that's been ground from the customers before you; the hammocks hanging in a few nooks create a fun feeling. We got the Magic Mocha latte which was deliciously soul soothing with almost a pumpkin spice to it! We also tried their Dirty Snowball which I personally devoured way too quickly; it was cool chocolate and peanut buttery swirl of yum! For food, we ordered the Quiche of the day- it was basically a hearty slice meat lovers breakfast pie. The Berry White Crepe melted in your mouth with the blueberries and cheese dancing on your palette! Pure heaven. Whoever designed and started this business is top notch! From the light slate blue color of the walls, to the beautiful wood tables and the sprinkled in LIVE plants. I was calmed just from standing in the place waiting for my order. 5 Stars all around. Will be coming here many more times and will recommend to everyone. Wish there was one of these in Ohio! I'd be there all the...
Read moreI am new to the area, hailing originally from Pittsburgh Pa. I no longer had my “places” to go, none of my favorites. When I first walked into Contrast Coffee, I instantly felt like I had found a new favorite. The vibe was laid back and cheerful. The baristas all seemed very busy but not too busy to smile and chat which I see as the sign of a really good coffee shop. Everything was very clean and well spaced. Every customer seemed very happy to be there. I ordered the Sugar Shack with Oat Milk and it was the best latte I have had since my favorite coffee shop in Pa. The pricing was reasonable for such an exceptional drink. The pace was a little slow but at the same time that is what I want from my coffee shop, a relaxing atmosphere. The slow pace didn’t diminish the fact that they were efficient and each drink and crepe seemed made...
Read moreI’ve been a customer at Contrast Coffee in Iron Mountain for a while and go quite often. While the coffee and food are great, the service is genuinely terrible. Every single time I stop for a coffee, without fail, not one worker has greeted me. No hello, no good morning, no smile, nothing. I walk up to the front to order, and I’m not even asked what I would like to order. A regular coffee shop would ask, “What can I get for you today?” with a smile on their face, but not here. I’m not sure if the workers have poor training, are socially awkward, or are just not nice people. I don’t know. But, what I do know is that I shouldn’t be paying $20 for a 10 oz coffee and a small sandwich to receive...
