Driving from San Diego to LA, we made a strategic pit stop in Irvine - a town built on planned perfection and protein bowls. Our host, clearly a veteran in both business and grilled meats, picked Panini Kabob Grill for a late dinner meeting. What a great choice. This place is like the United Nations of Middle Eastern flavors - a little Greece here, a touch of Lebanon there, some Israeli street food influence, Arab grill and spice, and maybe a polite nod to the whole Gulf region. (Although let’s be real: nothing beats a juicy Iraqi kebab, and they know it.) The salads are top notch - tossed and Greek varieties, loaded with all the things you swear you’ll eat more of after vacation. The portions are generous, and surprisingly, you won’t leave feeling like you bathed in wannabe Italian restaurant olive oil and garlic. The rice won’t win any Afghan or Saudi awards, but it fills the plate. And frankly, you’re too busy debating whether to order another round of kabobs to even notice. Panini Kabob Grill is that rare find: a feel-good, no-fry, Mediterranean comfort zone where the hot and cold mezze flow like family gossip. And once you’re hooked, you’re basically on the guest list for life—even if you’re not Arabic, Euphrates-born, or descended from either side of the Jordan River. Bring your appetite - it’s about to get diplomatic.

We just ate at the Panini Grill for the first time and let me just say "Wow!" We are at the Irvine Center location and first off the service from everybody there was awesome. Especially our server Sheida. She was super friendly and helpful and checked on us the perfect amount of times - not overly intrusive and not forgetting about us either. We began our meal with the Combination appetizer plate, seen in the picture. The Falafel was filled with the most delicious filling and fried just enough to be crunchy yet not greasy. The trio of hummus wasnt too spicy or salty and had great texture and flavor. We split the plate of two ground beef kabobs and couldn't even finish it after splitting the appetizer. I also had a Wild Horse Pinot Noir with my meal which was delicious. Now for the finale...the BEST baklava (made in house) that I have EVER had in my life! Please give this place a try - enjoy!

We ordered the chicken kabob family meal with extra basmati saffron rice... Unfortunately the rice was a complete and utter disappointment... There was maybe a tablespoon of saffron sprinkled on 3 lb of rice. When I called the manager he apologized and said he would talk to the chefs and I could come back for a free dessert. Well I don't really want a free dessert I want my basmati rice with saffron because it goes deliciously with my chicken... It's absolutely ridiculous when you look at their website and look at this picture. There's absolutely no resemblance One is a plain bowl full of unflavorful rice and the other is a delicious meal... I don't want your free dessert and I don't want to go back there for your free dessert I just want to get what I paid for which unfortunately I did not get. Extremely disappointing!!!!!!!

The food is great! Actually this is one of the best Mediterranean panini grille restaurant that I have dined in. Unfortunately, a couple of waiters made the yesterday’s experience very unpleasant to the point I had to get up and walk away. The rest of waiters and waitresses are respectful and know the rules. A couple of them are extremely rude. We were sitting for 45 mins without our waiter even asking us how we are doing. We called him multiple times, and he said he is coming and he didn’t. I noticed he went to 4 more tables who came long after we arrived and took their orders, but he didn’t even bother to come over and take our orders. When he finally did come over, there was no apology, he said that’s how he does it, he said if he doesn’t see everyone sitting on the table ready, he doesn’t come to take the order from them! He didn’t even ask if we need appetizer while waiting for other guests to arrive. We already got our late guests’ order and we were ready. His attitude was carried over throughout the afternoon even though I let go! I didn’t eat anything, but he made other guests (party of 11) uncomfortable by bringing the food to the table late, not providing utensils we asked him to, not splitting the bill the way we asked him to. Absolutely no respect. We sat in 12:30 and left the restaurant at 3 pm. This is how much they made us wait. And we are regular costumer of this restaurant. I’m sorry for the owner! With all this potential and good quality food, a couple of waiters ruin the atmosphere and cause the restaurant lose their regular costumers. I would not dine in this...

I visited Panini Kabob Grill in Los Olivos, Irvine, with my husband on Saturday night, June 10th, at 8 PM. I am deeply disappointed and utterly disgusted by the unprofessional behavior displayed by the staff member in charge of the tables. Despite the restaurant operating until 9 PM, she callously denied us the opportunity to sit at an open table on the right side, forcing us to settle for an undesirable spot near the restroom.

Let me make one thing clear: I will never set foot in that establishment again. This appalling experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I refuse to subject myself to such unprofessionalism. It is inconceivable that a business would jeopardize their reputation and lose customers by allowing their staff to treat patrons with such disdain.

Panini Kabob Grill should take heed of the consequences of their staff's unprofessional behavior. Losing customers not only means losing revenue from a single visit, but also the potential future visits and the countless dollars that each customer could have brought in throughout the lifespan of their business.

I sincerely hope that the management of Panini Kabob Grill takes this feedback seriously and addresses the severe shortcomings in their staff's conduct. If they wish to salvage their reputation and retain loyal customers, they must prioritize professionalism, respect, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Otherwise, they risk driving away more customers and ultimately witnessing the demise of...

My issues with this restaurant began when trying to place an online order for delivery. It seems that you can't order from the catering menu and the regular menu on the same order, nor will they take your order by phone. General manager, Angelo, advises me to place two orders and call him back and he will "group" them for delivery. So... I have to pay delivery fees for two orders, and I have to tip the driver twice...what a ridiculous system. After having many issues with their system not accepting my credit cards (these were DEFINITELY their system's issue, not my credit cards or my error) I got both orders placed, called Angelo back, he tells me he sees both orders, will group them for delivery and it's all good.

The next day...one order arrived 45 MINUTES late, and the second order arrived ONE AND A HALF HOURS LATE. So...on top of not being grouped, they were both extremely late - ruining a company lunch for our CFO's 70th birthday. This was over $400 in food between the two orders.

After the first order arrived, I tried to call the restaurant to see if the other order had been picked up for delivery - as I was going to drive my heated a$$ over there and pick it up myself - but they wouldn't answer the phone.

I will never order from this restaurant again. I have filled out the survey they sent when the first order was delivered and contacted their customer service by email with no response. Abysmal customer service. I don't know how they stay...
