Where do I even begin on Strand Interiors?! Kristin is just the best!

My husband and I had bought a house that was very cheaply renovated by a flipper, who stripped all the charm out of the house. I knew immediately when we bought the house that restoring the charm was something that was going to be a big job, but it was going to change the feel of the house entirely. I knew we had to hire professional help to assist us in getting this accomplished correctly.

As I was diligently researching and trying to figure out who to hire to help us with this house, I came across Strand Interiors on Houzz, and reached out to Kristin immediately.

I found that her style and my style meshed so well just from the pictures that I saw of her projects. I loved how simple, beautiful, warm, and thoughtful her designs were that still felt comfortable and livable. After your first consultation, I felt that it was going to be a good match and we decided to hire Strand Interiors.

I am so glad that we decided to move forward in working with Kristin. She helped us scale everything in our house, adding symmetry back to the home, ensuring that our open-concept area (that is unchangeable) felt intentional, and making a space that we just ADORE. She managed every piece of the project, and had impeccable communication with the contractors, ensuring that construction was done according to plan, catching very costly mistakes, and making adjustments as we needed along the way. She made sure that the furniture we selected was carefully selected and made sense with the space, which was quite a challenge in our open-concept house. Every piece in our house was carefully selected by her, and the time/energy that she put into making this a HOME for us is something we are forever grateful for.

She is incredibly thoughtful in her designs, you can feel her passion for what she does, her ideas are endless and original, she is insanely responsive, and it was just beyond a pleasure to work with her. I always tell her that I cannot wait for the next project we get to work on…I’m always trying to brainstorm the next thing we get to do together. :)

Hiring Kristin for our full home renovation was without a doubt the best decision I made. I never thought that tackling a renovation could be stress-free on my part until I worked with Kristin. I could tell from her Instagram page that our styles meshed well. From our very first conversation, I knew Kristin was someone I wanted to work with. She’s incredibly friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and professional, and we instantly clicked. Kristin has an incredible eye for design and a deep understanding of how to bring a vision to life. She truly nailed our warm, transitional style, and every design concept she presented felt thoughtfully curated. I do not have enough amazing things to say about Kristin (owner/stylist) of Strand Interiors. After Covid hit, sitting in my badly decorated and poorly lit house for months was truly getting the best of me. I was finishing up work before maternity leave and needed a positive change to get me excited about being home for an undisclosed amount of time - I wanted to LOVE where I was and I was far from it. I found Strand Interiors on Instagram, started following immediately and loved what I saw. I reached out to Kristin to get more information and she immediately blew me away with her kindness and willingness to help. She sent me a quick questionnaire to get started and feel out the looks I was going for and boy did she hit the nail on the head! She was so personable and accessible for my questions and feedback. The fact that she worked so well with my budget AND got me the exact look I was going for was astonishing to me. I can truly say that not only do I LOVE where I live now, but I am truly proud to have guests over (and get compliments almost every time).
