Burger Lounge — Restaurant in Irvine

UPDATE: Three years later. We recently visited again and found things had improved. Customer service was great! We had a server who smiled and made friendly eye contact. The fries are good but still not the same quality as the past. Burgers were fresh and delicious. This time, I didn’t bother with a gluten free bun and got the Paleo. NOW they serve the zucchini very thin and grilled. Much better than before!

3 YEARS AGO: Really disappointed with our last visit. The customer service has completely gone downhill. Several things have changed and they are not good. This place was a special treat for our family. You do pay premium prices but the fries were gourmet quality and the Gluten Free hamburger buns were on point. All that has changed. There is no longer any fresh garlic on the fries and they changed the GF buns to some cheapo rubbery goo that I can get at the grocery store.

I am not at all happy with the changes at this location. PLEASE hire the same caliber of people you had before - this is just unacceptable customer service! As a matter of fact, it took some time for the two employees standing at the register to acknowledge our presence. The register transaction was shocking to our family. Even our 12 year old noticed what a difference in the way we were NOT GREETED at the register. Refills were not offered until the server passed our table several times, looking at the empty glass. Very poor service and a huge disappointment from the way it used to be.

I had placed a order For pick up during lunch hoping it would be done by the time I arrived but I guess that was to much to ask for. She had asked me over the phone if I wanted my sides cooked and I told them yes I would be there shortly in hopes to doge the long wait but they couldn’t even execute on that. Upon arrival I went to the side with sign above the terminal that said “web/phone orders” everyone seemed to be stressed out and ignored me and after some time I was finally helped out by a rude Latino with saggy breasts( not pleasant dude wear a bigger shirt or loose some weight) who seemed very agatated I told him I was here for pick up and he said okay we’re just waiting on the sides they didn’t cook them up and I told him I specifically asked for them to be cooked and he shrugged it off and said “well I don’t get em” and walked away.At this point it’s already been 15 minutes since I arrived and I understand there busy but what’s the point of calling in orders if your not gonna have them on time??Few complaints about this place, my biggest complaint is asking someone to cook there sides or not shouldn’t even be a option, yea let’s let them arrive and there burger can get colder then they already are while waiting for a side??This place is suppose to be a fast casual and charges a premium yet food can’t even come out quickly enough, place seem to be understaffed and and no one seemed to...

Consistently rude staff. Thin blonde always looks pissed off and misses items when I order. Never apologizes or offers missed item. Bearded male on staff isn't much better very rude and snippy.

Overpriced Food was ok poor customer service leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Also don't order onion rings they tasted like battered rings of rubber or plastic, fries are inedible once cold.

For 8$ burgers and 5$ fries you expect better customer sevice than mcdonalds. And if you wait 30min for your food you expect it to be hot.

I'm pretty sure my order was left sitting there while I stood there waiting because they staff wasn't paying attention. People who orfered after me got their food first as mine sat under a bulb. It makes it even more annoying to get home w your order and find items are missing.

Given my experience and knowing that cook is scratching body parts than handing food without gloves.... I don't recommend this place to anyone and I will say no if anyone else asks if I want to...
