Angelo's Spaghetti & Pizza House - Irving — Restaurant in Irving

Picked up food from here on Mother’s Day and it looked so good but let me break this down how bad it was.

First there is no flavor any anything I swear a 60 year smoker made this food it was so bland.

Second the lasagna was so hard to cut and was definitely not up to par at all (olive garden is better)

Third the chicken Alfredo sauce tasted like elmers glue but the chicken was “ok” at best

Fourth the pizza was absolutely just the most sad looking pizza I’ve ever seen little Ceasers is a better deal (wish I was joking)

Fifth the salad was fine but that’s hard to ruin unless you included heated ranch (not sure what happened here)

Lastly garlic bread is toasted I thought but instead we got soggy bread with a hint (very very slight) of garlic which we actually toasted ourselves

Overall this food looks and tastes like it came from a run down shack which is fitting for building looks like it. I guess the sign for me should’ve been an empty parking lot / dining room on Mother’s Day

Adding an edit after looking at the Facebook page I now see why it turned out like this. Why as a business owner would you willingly post how disgusting your kitchen grill is I can’t even imagine how everything else looks someone please call the health department.

Not sure why this place has so many 5 star ratings. I can tell it's a town staple, but it isn't great. The service was excellent, and I was well taken care of by a friendly waitress who I never had to search for. The food came out quickly and was piping hot.

However, the food was pretty much glorified public school lunch spaghetti. I ordered the 2nd lunch special because it didn't list meat in the description... when I got to the end I found a HUGE chunk of bad quality ground beef that seriously tasted like it came from a can. Clearly, the sauce came from a can, which would be fine if they would doctor it up with some extra ingredients, but it tastes like they dump the can into a sauce pan and serve it to the guests.

The salad that came with it was JUST LETTUCE, which doesn't constitute a salad. Seriously, I have never seen that served in a restaurant, ever. Can't you throw some onions and tomato into it at least? But they do have plenty of dressings to choose from. I got the tomato vinaigrette, which was great (but definitely not made in house).

The bread that came with it wasn't garlic bread, either. It was literally white Texas toast coated in only unsalted butter. Hell, even garlic powder would have been nice if you didn't want to use fresh.

Overall, the food was extremely underwhelming and could use a major revamp. It's a very low quality product, but I gave it 3 stars (as opposed to 1) because of the price and...

So i absolutely love Angelos, the food is probably the best spaghetti i have ever eaten. However they are getting a 1 star because of huge communication issues with customers, on the paper menu they currently give out, it has the spaghetti for 4 listed at 8.99 and doesn't tell you they charge you 8 dollars just to get meat sauce with it. also the new price of the spaghetti for 4 is 12 bucks.

I specifically said,'" 4 orders of Garlic toast."which they have listed at .99 cents an order with 3 in them, instead they now say they only give one an order at 59 cents per order.

So i ordered my food and was expecting it to only be like 15 dollars, and when i called after picking it up they didn't really care and just said that their menu was out of date.

How on am i suppose to split 4 slices of toast with literally pounds of spaghetti? I wasn't even going to call and ask about it until i realized i only got 4 slices of toast and the people we talked to didn't care and acted like it was our fault for them giving an old menu and not double checking the prices.

Horrible customer service, will rip you off at the first chance they get, and dont give out itemized receipts because then they know they'd get questioned on everything when it differs from their menu that apparently hasn't been updated since 2018.

Delicious food but definitely won't be...
