Saturday morning, about 11am. Not very busy. This is our 4th visit so it's a fair assessment. Came in for brunch with my granddaughter. First, no drink service until she was ready to take our food order. I asked for coffee with creamer and my grangdaughter wanted chocolate milk. We both ordered the build you own slams, one from the adult menu and one from the kids. I specified that I wanted the eggs over easy or over medium, depending on the cook, but no runny whites. She said the cooks were very good. My granddaughter wanted her pancakes with chocolate chips. The drinks were delivered. The chocolate milk tasted like lightly flavored chocolate water, and no silverware to stir the coffee. The waitress apologized and said she'd be right back with it. We get the food shortly after. She asked if the eggs were cooked right and I told her, "I don't know. I don't have any silverware". She left to get it and, on the way back, delivered another table's order. When she did finally get back, we pointed out that my granddaughter ordered chocolate chip pancakes and got plain ones. She took the plate back and, after a few more minutes, came back with the same food, just a small handful of chocolate chips thrown onto the cakes. Now, at this point, I don't even want to mention the stuff floating in my coffee, no...it's not creamer. It's not worth sending anything back. I don't have all day to see what else can be messed up. Like I said at the beginning, this is our 4th time here. First was dinner and then 3 breakfasts. The dinner wasn't great but a single visit isn't fair, so we tried breakfast. 1st one wasn't bad. The second was not as good, but this one was a nightmare. Complaining only brings more apologies and there have already been enough of those. I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go back home. This is just a warning to future visitors. Oh, and the tip is because I don't believe any waitstaff should ever...
Read moreI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. We will never eat there again. Our glasses were dirty and didn't know until the drink was empty. We never got offered drink refills. I had to ask twice for the correct drink. Then when the food came it was awful. I ordered an omelette. They cooked eggs into a patty. Chopped the ingredients I asked for and put them on the plate. Then laid the slab of egg on top I ordered cheese and they bearly put any on. It was flavorless and bland. The hash browns were half burnt half raw. The biscuits my friend ordered were so hard she couldn't eat them. It was all flavorless crap. You can do better at McDonald's. Then when we tried to talk to the manager she said why didn't I send it back. I said because I don't want anyone messing with my food they should have gotten it right the first time. It's an omelette how hard is it to do it right. It's not rocket science. My daughters knew how to make omelettes by the time they were 10. She gave me attitude. I told her that her staff needs to be retrained. Customer service isn't right here. They don't care. As we were leaving the Spanish girls began to talk crap in Spanish. Not knowing that my friend was bilingual. So she heard what they were saying about us. They said we are just trying to get out of paying our bill. Between the two of us we had over 5k on hand for the record. But that was not the issue. It's was all the crap. So anyway They got into a screaming match. I didn't understand all they were saying but it was very rude and disrespectful. To speak about someone disrespectfully like that is ridiculous. I have never had such a horrible experience at a Denny's I hope the general manager reads this and fires the bad ones and retrains the horrible cook. You shouldn't be a cook if you can't get omelettes and biscuits and gravy right. Don't go there they will probably talk crap you too if you complain. It's such crap. Anyway good...
Read moreThis location doesn’t even deserve a single star... from the second we walked in to the time we left we were unsatisfied and extremely embarrassed. This location is near the airport meaning this could be the very first stop for those from outside of Texas, that come for the first time and this is their first impression of Texas... we walked in and one of the two ladies working didn’t even greet us but waved us down with menus to follow her and asked quite rudely “ what do you want to drink” we hadn’t even sat down yet so I asked her for a second and she just walked off. When the second waitress came by to get our drink order my husband asked for a strawberry lemonade ( which is on the menu and on their drink machine) she brings out a regular lemonade with fresh strawberries on top... my coffee tasted like it had sat for hours and the food took forever. While we sat patiently the first waitress who “greeted” us continued with her terrible attitude towards any customer who came into the restaurant and those who had been there before us. Yelling and griping under her breath. A group of people walked in and the first waitress “greeted” them and took 10+ minutes just to get there drinks they got up to leave when the other waitress told them there were only two of them so if they could be patient she would be right with them. The first waitress yelled “ I told them 3 times I’d be over there” across the entire restaurant. It’s understandable when you are short staff to take a little longer than usual but when it takes you that long just to get drinks mixed with such a terrible attitude I’m very upset that I even have to write a review. I’ve been a waitress for 10 years so I understand the frustration but you should never ever treat customers the way we witnessed today. We love Denny’s but we surely will not be back to this location. I hope management takes the time to look into...
